Finally, someone is talking about the fact that it was gov't meddling that got us here and that even more gov't meddling won't fix the problem. Too bad people hadn't listened to this viewpoint before the bail-out feeding frenzy was passed.
It seems that Clinton, Frank and Dodd have capitalized on the "punked" or "never failed" generations inability to understand risk and analyze root cause. If you have never failed, how do you analyze the risk of never failing, in a house loan, a car loan, even a credit card or your job. Obama is capitalizing on the same thing. People are listening to him talk but have no idea what he is saying. It just sounds good. They have no idea of how to analyze the risk or the impact of his socialist tax program ($1000 tax return doesn't help much when the trickle down effect increases the price of our products and prices our product and jobs out of the global market) or his energy program that is an environmental program and depends on reduced energy consumption not increased production. They only hear Bob Marley - Don't worry, be happy, everything is gonna be alright.
Can anyone tell me what qualifications Frank and Dodd have at this?
I mean, other than having a bunch of idiot Democrats vote for them?
Hopelessly incompetent Congressmen are not the answer to anything. These people are glaringly unqualified for their jobs which is why we're in this mess.
Until competence rather than connections or affirmative action becomes the basis for electing our representatives, we'll continue to be in messes like this.
The path to this type of problem is pretty easy to follow.
Combine a media that is more interested in what Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan are doing and a populace who doesn't know who the speaker of the house is but knows who's winning on American Idol and presto.
