Another good reason to vote for BARACK OBAMA. If this economy's going to recover, it's going to take Americans spending again. Obama will CUT TAXES for 95% OF ALL AMERICANS, to make it easier for them to keep our economy moving and, eventually, growing again. He'll also create millions of new jobs and keep jobs here in America, rather than sending them overseas! Obama will also keep our country secure and make SMARTER decisions for our troops, who are strained to the breaking point with multiple redeployments, extended tours of duty, and an increasing number of health problems when they return home. He'll keep the hundreds of billions of dollars we're spending in Iraq and use it to shore up our economy and keep jobs. And he'll intensify the fight in Afghanistan. Obama will lead with intelligence, clear vision, even temperament, and decisive action. We REALLY need a CHANGE. VOTE BARACK OBAMA! And vote early.

CONGRESS IS FULL OF LAWYERS, SO WHY DID THEY ALL FORGET TO INCLUDE SOME CRITICAL FINE PRINT IN THE BAILOUT PACKAGE? More abuse of the taxpayer is coming. http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/10/what-they-didnt-tell-us-about-bailout.html Congress didn't do its job, ... again.

Obama's taxes are a shell game. Taxes are taxes, it doesn't matter who you tax. The cost will be passed to the product. If the price of the product is too high, then people will buy a different product and the company will lose business or go out of business (it's called the trickle down effect). What we need to figure out is how many employees will be laid off for every percentage of tax increase. Most Americans would rather have their jobs than another $600 set of diamond earrings refund.

Buy Nothing Economics - who would it hurt if we buy nothing except food and needed clothing? Import based business such as Walmart and others who hawk Flat TV's from China are not a problem and create little employment for U.S. and a lot of money in balance of payment to China. Not to buy anything might be a retail nightmare but good for America. Home values although reduced by 1/3 to 1/2 are still homes and have not gone away. We can not retail job our way out of the nation's economic problems.
