This race is tight for several reasons. Barack is Black and racism still exist in America. Polls are taken by landlines. I work in telecommunications and know that landlines have been cut by at least 50%. If you poll the same old people with the same old mindset you will get the same old answers.
With the state of our economy; the war in Iraq; the impending war or cold war with Russia, we need to make serious changes. McCain did his party a disservice by pulling in Palin, touting her over his other choices. She is a disgrace to women.
By the way, where is Liberman? The only thing McCain did is to remove that group of old men from around him that made him look older. Now Sarah ,makes him look as if she is his caretaker, speaking for him because his memory is short.
James, we'll win this so forget the polls.
There are too many uninformed voters in this country. A brief comparison of the values, character and judgment of John McCain compared to Barack Obama, combined with the experience and leadership that McCain has demonstrated should be enough for anyone. Here is a man who has the courage to stand up for his convictions, who reaches across party lines and counts a prominent Independent Democrat as one of his most ardent supporters. And yet, Obama and his supporters try to paint him as 'McBush'. Their ignorance is appalling. I will wait for the bump in the polls once the RNC is over. I expect to see it grow as more and more people become educated to Obama's Socialst/Marxist agenda. And, to Leepee's comment: Sarah is a sterling example of a woman who stands up for her convictions. I'm sure you would prefer someone who would abort a Down Syndrome child or who would encourage her daughter to abort an unexpected baby. Many of us were 'unexpected' babies and appreciate the fact we were brought into this world to make our own choices!
