This election has nothing to do with a pregnant teen in Alaska. This is a private, family issue. Now watch the low-life, liberal Democrat bottom feeders use it to bash Republicans. I have two words for them... but I can't say them here.

ABC news website is now reporting that Palin and her husband were members of an Alaska secessionist group in the 1990's. McCain can't possibly have vetted this woman. He must have fallen in love with her glasses.

Garland, Victimhood is a reflex for extremists of all persuasions to justify themselves - it demonstrates the ability of the self absorbed to project themselves upon others since these extremists have no ability to see anything but what they concentrate on the most - THEMSELVES! So my advice to you is please try not to emulate them.

Unfortunately what has happened to the Palin's daughter has become commonplace in American families today. Even families where parents are involved in their childrens' lives and where "sex only within a committed marriage relationship" is valued and taught are getting surprised with unplanned and out-of-wedlock pregnancies. We all know that this is a result of our modern culture where casual sex (properly called "fornication") is portrayed on nearly every television sitcom and drama, nearly every movie, in many our songs, and in the majority of our advertising. These messages from a fallen world bombard our children (and us) incessantly. It takes a strong person to resist the allure of "free and easy sex" and to remain pure. America is reaping the results of the so-called "sexual revolution" that became widely accepted in the 60's and 70's. I am ashamed to be part of that generation -- and to be honest, the sooner my generation passes on to receive its rewards, the better. In addition to countless young people - often single women - getting burdened with being parents before they are ready, this has also resulted in millions and millions of abortions. And, it has an untold impact on poverty levels and our economy as those caught up in unplanned parenthood often have to forego their educations. What the liberal elite so gleefully calls "sexual freedom" is, in reality, a different kind of bondage with long-term consequences. And for making such comments, I am sure I will be lambasted as a "right-wing fundamentalist". But, as Jesus said, "wisdom is proved right by all her children." On the positive side, I applaud the Palins' (and their daughter) for making the right decision (to not kill the innocent baby) after the daughter & boyfriend's error. May God bless them for choosing life - especially in a culture that values life - and its Creator - less and less these days.

Sarah Palin is truly a leader. She seems to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. She has made one courageous decision after another, sometimes risking her political future in the bargain. Just like John McCain. They are both about change, much moreso than the other ticket, which has shown itself to be all about same, same, same.

"Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.” Dr. Haim Ginott. I think Governor Palin should turn down the VP offer and take care of her family. Or is it better to have your career before your Family? http://SmarterToddler.net

I don't feel anyone should throw stones at Gov. Palin's daughter being pregnant out of wedlock. Everyone has challanges and faces difficuties in life. We are human and this is life. I raised my children in a Christian home and constantly communicated to them right from wrong from the day they were born. I was absolutely devastated when my 19 year old son announced his 18 year old girlfiend was pregnant. After 3 months I finally realized that I was going to have a grandbaby. They married and continued school and work. My son is in his second year of College now and my precious daughter-in-law is starting a four year Nursing program this week. I am very proud of them. Yes, they needed emotional and some financial support, and lots of love and support from family and friends. Yes, they were unable to start college as originally planned. I look back 6 years ago and there would be nothing in this world that I would change about what happened. I have a very smart, handson, 5 1/2 year old grandson that adores me. He knew his Pledge of Alligance at 2, learns quickly, speaks better than most adults and is a real charater and charmer. During some difficult times of my own over the past 3 years, I don't know how I would have survived without him. He is definately the love of my life and I thank God for him everyday. Gov. Palin is real and her family is real. They are just like everyone which is good because she understands the needs and the problems we all face. I think she is an excellent choice as V.P. We all have a purpose in life. What you feel deeply for whether it is helping the homeless, stronger animal curity laws, the loney residents of nursing homes, whatever it is that bothers us and we feel strongly for, we all need to make the time, take action, and do something about it. That is our purpose in life.

What an interesting concept, electing a VP that goes through the everyday tribulations of the common citizen. Do you think there is a sense of understanding there? Once again you notice, McCain didn't flinch one iota. Now, if the media will calm down, we can get the country is moving in the right direction.

Tigman: Syntactically speaking, your post is incoherent and irrational. No one has any idea what you are struggling to say. Have a Merry Christmas.

Wouldn't it be great to have a politician in the White House who hasn't lived a life much different from the average American? When people say "stay home and raise your children" it comes off as narrow-minded and way too judgemental - are these statements from "Perfect" people? I admire her honesty and the choices she's made concerning her family -- sounds like she has common sense which would be a nice change from the same-old-same-old.

A typical Small Town American who isnt bitter like Obama claims. A Hard-Working Mom who had enough and started at lowest level of politics - and now has risen to a historic nomination. A true American Success story. Obama would do well to call off the attack squads moveon and dailykooks - in the end it will backfire on him.

What I find baffling is Governor Palin's willingness to expose her family to the kind of scrutiny (some fair, some frenzied) that is inevitable these days. Is that what "country first" means? She may have plenty of admirable qualities, but there's too much recklessness all around, starting with McCain's decision to select her as a running mate.

Hurray for Bristol and Hurray for the Palin Family of the Gov. My wife died 2-10-2008 ( age 47)because she had an abortin at age 18. She wrote a book about the experience; "ABORTION: The truth about the lie, One woman's choice". The real issue here is "the woman's choice" and the information she gets to make it. Women are not second class citizens! Hurray for her decision. Can we stand up like this 18 year old did? Let's support them!

Ms Palin, like a lot woman may they be inner city, hollywood or the political ambitious, neglect their families for CAREER. How can you be effective as Vice President or President with five children and a young grandchild. Make no mistake about it, all 18 year old mothers, need all the support and teaching from a full time MOM. If the Media interviewed Ms Palin's daughter on the 6 o'clock News I am certain that the interview will have a familiar ring. "My mother was not there for me."

What I find baffling is Joe Biden's willingness to expose his family to the kind of scrutiny (some fair, some frenzied) that is inevitable these days. He may have plenty of admirable qualities, but there's too much recklessness all around, starting with Obama's decision to select him as a running mate. Biden's daughter Ashley was arrested for obstructing a police officer in a drunken melee outside of a Chicago bar. Hunter Biden, Washington lobbyist, could be indicted any minute now as one of his firm's biggest clients is MBNA bank, which also happened to be a big fundraiser for Papa Joe. The Biden family is falling apart from the inside out, so I believe it is unconscionable for Joe Biden to continue in the race---his family comes first. Sexist morons.
