EXCLUSIVE: Border drug wars threaten U.S.

This past July saw a team of Mexican Military men dressed in military body armor and Phoenix Police Department "Raid Jackets" attack a Jamacan drug lord's home in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. This Mexican Military hit team used military-type weapons in their attack. More than 100 shots were fired, the residents inside the home were murdered and the "hit team" of Mexican Military men made a swift get-away. A couple of them were caught by Phoenix PD; the others fled south, to safety. It should be noted that the equipment and weapons these Mexican military men used were of the type donated by Phoenix Police Department and the US Government. Nice, very nice. So much for the "war on drugs" and training our neighbors to the south for raiding houses. Every week, it is estimated that more than 10,000 illegal aliens cross into Arizona. This mass of humanity gets through the Border Patrol. If there was a double fence, like the one that the Fence Bill called for, the numbers of illegal aliens entering would decrease. To put these numbers of illegal aliens into perspective: Every 12 weeks, an illegal army of north-bound aliens enters Arizona, a force larger than our Army in Iraq. Every 12 weeks. And "they" say we are not being invaded. Is there another word for this illegal incursion? The American military must be put on our border to prevent America's enemies from killing Americans. President Bush talks a good game when bragging about "no terrorist attacks since 9/11/01. In 2005, the Federal Government estimated that more than 20,000 Jihadis were in this country. We have been under attack for years by the illegal aliens, drug traffickers, human traffickers and Mexican military. If only the President would put Americans ahead of his good friends, the Mexicans..... God Bless America

Oh, yes, many of these illegal Mexicans and Other Than Mexicans are referred to by Senator John McCain as "God's children" and they are here to make a better life and we must accept them. What about us! What about the Americans who pay the taxes for the protection we do not see? What about We The People, we who work, raise families and strive to make better lives for ourselves? Aren't we "God's Children", as well? Who made the deal with "everyone" else on the planet, that America is the dump of humanity and we must take in everyone? As a voter, I was not consulted. Were any of you readers consulted, as to your opinion on this matter? You have to ask yourselves: Why doesn't the President put a stop to this foolishness and fence the border and install the National Guard on the border. The NG force is trained in police-type work, as well as the infantry-type work. In America's immigration history, there have been periods of time (years) where we did not accept any new arrivals (legally, that is). This (now) would be a good time to review this particular policy. The Mexicans, by and large, do not want to assimilate with our culture.

Seal the borders; arm the border patrol with a full range of weapons to stop the people and drug flow and to protect America from external invasion. Execute those caught smuggling or transporting drugs. Immediately deport those entering the country illegally--truck or bus them to the border they came over and send them back across it to face whatever they must face--No overnight stays, one free meal and water sufficient to survive the trip to the border.

A WAR AGAINST OURSELVES Americans are spending billions each year against an enemy that we are supporting! We spend our money to fight terrorist and gorillas all over the world, when actually we are supporting them! The dollars these enemies of America derive comes mostly from drug sales to this country. If drugs were not profitable the money supply would dry up.If we did not buy drug sales here the guerrillas would have a hard time keeping an army that terrorizes governments in South America together. The exception are the religious fundamentalist who use the money from the poppy crops or other drugs they obtain from their contacts in South America to help run their operations from the Middle East. The solution seems to be to stop funding these enemies of society with taxpayers money. Sending money and arms to fight battles in other countries when the war is in America, and paid for in this country. Not only in dollars but in crime in America. Drug users commit crimes to obtain dollars to buy drugs, these dollars in turn are sent to countries that grow the drugs. These people who distribute the drugs are either drug barons or terrorists. Either way we are funding our enemies, yes Americans are paying for the war against ourselves. In the name of fighting the drug war, we as a society are not solving the problem. If the profit were taken out of drugs, and the drugs were dispensed by an agency crime would come down. Addicts needs would be solved and crime and insurance losses would come down. Centers for drugs could be paid with the savings insurance companies would save from drug related crimes. TO QUOTE POGO “WE HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY AND IT IS US!”

THIS IS THE RESULT OF THE TOTAL FAILURE OF THE U.S. GOV, FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS ON DOWN WANTING A "COMPREHENSIVE" SOLUTION TO THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT PROBLEM. AND NEITHER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WOULD CHANGE A THING ! WIDE OPEN BORDERS ARE THEIR PLANS FOR US.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That whenever there shall be a declared war between the United States and any foreign nation or government, or any invasion or predatory incursion shall be perpetrated, attempted, or threatened against the territory of the United States, by any foreign nation or government, and the President of the United States shall make public proclamation of the event, all natives, citizens, denizens, or subjects of the hostile nation or government, being males of the age of fourteen years and upwards, who shall be within the United States, and not actually naturalized, shall be liable to be apprehended, restrained, secured and removed, as alien enemies.

I agree with DTFrankel on the point of deploying our military on the southern border for "pre-deployment" training (live ammunition issued, of course!). After engaging some of the violent drug-runners and their Mexican Military escorts, things will begin to change for the better. God Bless America

With nearly 40 million illegal alien invaders in the country and most of them being Mexican nationals, the drug cartels in Mexico have a ready made market for their wares in the U.S. Get rid of the illegal alien invaders, (who consider the use of any of these drugs as their given due), and the drug cartels have a vastly depleted market. Make pot legal for consenting adults and the demand for illegal, illicit drugs drops even more dramatically. The drug war is a complete utter failure. Costly in lost, ruined lives, scandalous amounts of money just thrown away, and a total lack of confidence in our lawmakers ability to do ANYTHING contructive about it.

I just read where the President is going to give $1 BILLION dollars of our tax money to the Republic of Georgia. The Russians destroy it and America rebuilds it. Where is the fence on our borders? Why not spend our tax dollars on OUR NEEDS first! I am an American Nationalist first.

It's the senator from Arizona and the senator from IL, the presidential candidates, who want to open the borders and make citizens of the illegals already in this country, a move certain to encourage more illegal immigration. There is no way humanly possible to screen the est. 20 million illegals in this country. The sane way to deal with immigration is to enforce the laws on the books. Bring home the troops from Iraq, arm them for war, and post them on the border with orders to shoot to kill. That's called a "deterrent" and maintaining national sovereignty, regardless of what the media and the ACLU would call it. Why is it that the Am. gov't. can recognize a threat half a world away and militate against it, but for all practicable purposes ignore the war on its own border? In all my life I have never been so absolutely fed up with my gov't., and all I can see is a much worse situation if McCain or Obama is elected. Why is the immigration question not being raised ? Not even from the alternative candidates. The fed. gov't. should not be surprised if Americans start taking the law into their own hands and begin to secure the border with weapons. At least the Supreme Court did not outlaw guns. That's the only positive move I've seen in recent years from the Am. gov't. in faor of the People.Sinking, sinking into the abyss.

"Legalizing drugs" is such a specious, irrational argument. Two legal drugs, so we should legalize more ? There is still bootleg whiskey and untaxed cigarettes. The assumption is that making drugs legal would stop the profit. No - just more and more drugs, legal and illegal. NO ONE can tell me that even cannabis should be legal when I as a teacher see what it does to the brains of teen-agers, especially, but also to some adults I know. The war on drugs would be a "failure" only if no interdictions were made. Those who think it's a failure don't consider what the consequences would be in terms of so much more traffic if the DEA and others were not engaged in the war. Judges and the courts should do their duty and sentence the traffickers and users accordingly. Don't whine about "ruined lives" of users; do the crime, do the time. Nobody makes anybody use drugs. It's called "choice" and "free will". Blaming others for your actions is called "projection" and is the moral coward's way of acting the victim and refusing to take responsibility for what he does. Barf.

Well now. To those paying attention to reality, (that aren't insulated from it by a job that requires them to think in a certain pattern), it's very obvious that it isn't the drug users or traffickers who are suffering the most from the failed drug policies of America. No! The reality is that it has become the innocents who are suffering most. Just as in prohibition. When prohibition was repealed, the problem of associated crime very nearly ceased to exist, and today there is little crime associated with alcohol that isn't detected and corrected legally. Only someone insulated from reality would think that legalizing drugs would NOT stop the illegal trafficking of those drugs, (with all of it's attendant horrors). NOTHING is more effective at stopping illegal behavior than having the behavior legalized and controlled. People are going to use drugs whether the fearful in our society like it or not. If it's NOT illegal, NOT ONE PENNY can be made off of it illegally! If there is no incentive to deal in it illegally, (ie: the scandelous profits made off of illegal sales), there is no incentive to commit such heinous acts against society. I have talked to many tobacco smokers who belive that OTHER drugs should be illegal but NOT tobacco. When I asked what they would do if tobacco was made illegal, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM said they would just acquire tobacco ILLEGALLY. When I asked what they would do if the law caught them, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM said they would fight the law, because then the law would be infringing on their rights to do as they please to themselves. It was the same with steroids. Drug users were horrible people to the steroid users until steroids became illegal. Then all of the steroid users became "instant criminals. Then they decried the infringement on their rights! HYPOCRITES! To the detriment of the rest of us. Perhaps one day soon YOU PERSONALLY will be impacted violently by the WAR on drugs and it's accompanying devastation. Heaven forbid it should happen. But it has happened to millions of innocents already. does one have no compassion for them?

Until we reinforce the border patrol and give them the full authority to shoot to kill anyone (man, woman or child)crossing our border illegally, our citizens will continue to be violated by these vicious and violent people.
