New in Virginia: 135 condos in Arlington

Monument Realty LLC is building 135 condominium homes at the Hawthorn in Arlington, within two blocks of the Virginia Square Metro station, three blocks of Ballston Mall and four blocks of the Ballston Metro station.

The Hawthorn, a nine-story brick, concrete and metal building in Arlington County, has two levels of underground parking. In addition, the building has a business center and a fitness center with 10-foot ceilings and glass walls overlooking a landscaped courtyard.

Inside, all five models still available have two bedrooms and two baths; some include a den. Standard features include open floor plans, maple hardwood flooring, a balcony, recessed and pendant lighting, and maple cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

The homes have from 1,094 to 1,502 finished square feet, with base prices from $525,000 to $675,000. Condominium association fees are $444 per month.

The Maple model, with 1,094 square feet, is priced from $525,000 to $549,000.

This home features a foyer entrance with a coat closet and a closet for a stacked washer and dryer. The open floor plan includes a kitchen with a breakfast bar, a living room with a double window and a sliding glass door to the balcony, and a dining room with a triple window. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and a luxury bath with a double-sink vanity.

The second bedroom, on the opposite side of the living area, has two double-door closets and a private door to the full bath off the foyer.
