This is the biggest load of garbage that I have heard in a LONG time...the "rural voters" that Mr. Obama is trying to win over are the EXACT people that he and the other elites in the Demo party DESPISE...mere flyover folks "clinging to guns and religion"...they're only hoping that Mr. Obama's speaking talents will dupe these hard-working folks long enough to pull their votes; after the election, he'll have nothing for them but higher taxes and more gun control...as well as making sure some of those tax dollars get spent on abortions, Mr. Obama's favorite method of birth control...I have a lot of faith in the Pennsylvanian voters, and whether they would have voted for HRC or not, I hope they can see through the Obama flimflam!

What dialect is Obama using in PA? Yes, dialect, he freely admits that he changes his speech based on the audience. Obama told New York magazine in October, 2006 that “there’s no doubt that when I’m with a black audience, I slip into a slightly different dialect.” I'd feel insulted. Quite condescending, sort of like telling us we "cling to guns and religion." Pandering. Where's the change?

Sarah is a breath of fresh air on our national political scene. Contrast this to how frequently an alarmingly narcissistic Barack Obama, with an obvious sense of entitlement, instinctively tilts his head back; and, with an angry countenance, looks down his nose at the audience! A characteristic which was front and center in Obama's comments about bitter folks in Small Town America who "Cling to their religion." Obama’s inflated sense of his own importance; and, his pretentious demeanor should be of concern to all Americans. Do you recall another infamous politician who exhibited precisely the same characteristic? If you guessed Benito Mussolini, you're right on. As Bill Clinton so aptly said of Obama: "He's simply a typical Chicago thug." America best wake up to the dangers that such a warped individual represents before we let him get anywhere near the White House. It's incredible that the Democrats have nominated Obama, the least qualified and most extreme left, Presidential candidate in American history, for the leadership of the free world. May God protect us. Greg Neubeck

Why does Obama sound frazzled? I'm a hispanic democrat from Pennsylvania and I'm disappointed in his speech delivery and content. Republicans made the separation of McCain and Bush. We need to find another angle. Looks like Republicans have taken the wind out of Obama's sails. I may consider flip flopping.

To make every vote in every state politically relevant and equal in presidential elections, support the National Popular Vote bill. The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC). The bill would take effect only when enacted by states possessing a majority of the electoral votes (270 of 538). When the bill comes into effect, all the electoral votes from those states would be awarded to the presidential candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC). The National Popular Vote bill has been approved by 21 legislative chambers (one house in CO, AR, ME, NC, and WA, and two houses in MD, IL, HI, CA, MA, NJ, RI, and VT). It has been enacted into law in Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and Maryland. These states have 50 (19%) of the 270 electoral votes needed to bring this legislation into effect. see http://www.NationalPopularVote.com susan

It's hard to believe that so many readers here still believe the McCain rhetoric. He has voted with Bush over 90% of the time. He's obviously saying whatever he needs to say to win, even though he'll revert to the harmful views of the Bush Administration once elected. It's amazing to me how many Americans continue to vote against their better interests, and are fooled by the Republican smear tactics. If you like how George W Bush has performed as President, and think the country is better off than 8 years ago, then vote for McCain. If you think the country is worse off than four years ago, then it's in your best interest to vote for Obama.
