One of the most often used phrases by Jesus was: "fear not".
The fact that there is so much phobia in our times is because so many have ceased to place their trust in the One who stilled the storm with only His voice.
We can build our houses on the sand and then tremble when the storms come; or we can build them on the Rock - of Jesus Christ and His Gospel - and sleep peacefully while the nations rage.
"Repent and Believe in the Lord Jesus -- and you will be saved -- you and your whole household."
Grace to all He will call.
Maranatha, then Shalom.
I wonder what is the psychologist's term for 'lamestream-media phobia'? That is the source of the hyperbole and anile hysteria.
Either we are equal or we are not. Good people ought to be armed where they will, with wits and guns and the truth. NRA KMA$$
The media has learned that modern Americans are fatally absorbed with sexual temptation, fear, and conflict. For many years now, they have used that sad truth about us to sell advertising through various "entertainment" channels. And, with the advent of 24-hour news, they found they could also sell "news" in the same way.
So, what we are seeing now is the natural result. Dig up every fearful and unclean thing; hype it up; spin it up; and sell it to a people who are worshipping the carnal things of a fallen world, instead of the wonderful Creator. It's an easy sell; and has made many of them very wealthy. But the promises they are selling are just empty lies - deceptions most foul.
Jesus said:
"I AM the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. NO ONE comes to the Father except through Me."
and...
"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you FREE."
In less than a scant 100 years from now, all who are reading this will have passed into Eternity. Then, we will ALL know whether He Is what He says He Is.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
