It's almost comical that Obama would even respond to the vice presidential nominee instead of McCain or have Biden attack Palin. She's not running for president. They must be worried. As for the issue of earmarks, they are sometimes necessary for construction of roads, bridges, buildings, etc. So Obama needs to do better than that.

DON'T fall for Palin's hockey mom spirit. You need to look beyond the hype. In a Slate article it was shown she approved the bridge to nowhere but when Congress killed it she still got the SAME AMOUNT of money for "other" projects. She wants to ban books in the library. She believes women/girls victims of rape or incest should be forced to have their baby. She says she is frugal, yet she had 198 million in earmarks, which is the highest per capita in the country. She believes in climate change but doubts humans activities in it. And best of all she votes for abstinence only education. Wonder if her and Bristol are re accessing that one! PLEASE do your homework before you vote! She gave a great speech and I was enthused. But once I started digging...the woman turns my stomach. PS McCain is taking money from lobbyists. Obama is not. Enough said. You can't create change when you have backs to scratch.

And I doubt Obama is worried. All this stuff is going to come out. That way all those people that didn't bother to do their homework and were just spoon fed by their party will have to see what a poor choice she is. And that goes to McCain's lack of Judgment. I believe that is what Obama is trying to accomplish.

Give me a break, I pick up paper flags off the floor of ice cream places all over Northern NH. The red, white and blue flags are used to decorate the cones.. IT MAKES ME MAD, but it's a just policts. We need a law making in illegal for companies to use our flag for commercial purposes.

Bwahahahah! All the Obamatoids on this thread are scared ___-less. Palin's got them shaking in their boots, for good reason. She makes Obama look like the elitist BS-er that he is, and Biden look like a loon. Don't worry leftists, McCain and Palin will fix all the crap the Democrats have ignored for decades. Looks like B. Hussein will be surgically joined at the hip with his teleprompter. No way he'll face McCain (much less Palin!) without his entire gang. Coward.

Quit trashing the Flag Democrats! Typical of Obama - doesn't give a crap about anything or anyone when no one's looking.

Palin is "small-town" in the way she talks (her style, and reading from a teleprompter at campaign stops} and lacks the broader national vision Obama has. If you watch Obama at his campaign stops, he speaks off the cuff, no prompter. "Don't worry leftists, McCain and Palin will fix all the crap the Democrats have ignored for decades." WHAT?!! Where've you been the last eight years? The Bush administration has driven this country into the ground, starting a senseless war, with no plan to end it after FIVE years, with BILLIONS of our dollars going to Iraq, and thousands losing their homes because the Bush administration failed to adequately monitor mortgage loan companies. The Democratic Congress has been in power only two years, and Bush has shot down so many bills they wanted to pass.

FACT CHECK There's nothing wrong with earmarks unless they are buried on page 1567 of a Bill that few Senators or Congressman bother to review anyway. The issue with earmarks is they should be stand alone bills. This is the CHANGE that McCain/Palin want. Of course Gov. Palin will take money from the Feds if they offer it. That's her job. It's also her job to refuse more money if the State of Alaska has to foot the cost overruns. It's every Mayor's job to solicit funds from their State and the Feds. It's an extraordinary Mayor or Gov. that wants to audit the integrity of the way Government operates. While I like the spirit of change Obama wants for Washington, I don't think he will be able to steer that ship around. He's got no experience at the helm. If change were to occur for the better, and McCain/Palin have the "Will" to change for the better, I think they will find their way to the Bridge, and adjust the helm accordingly.

FACT CHECK. While the Gov. doesn't want formal sex ed in Alaska schools, Alaska Schools have sex ed via guest speakers once or twice a month. Alaska ranks below the national average of teen pregnancies. The USA has over 750,000 teen pregnacies. Why hasn't sex ed worked? The argument for Sex-ed is the fallacy that education will change behavior. Since when? I'm 52 and highly educated, but I still do what I want in spite of knowing different. Stupid me. You can't blame the Christian church- going parents for the choices their kids make. It happens in every faith, culture and Town. Parents try to teach the right way, and the kids, who have a free will, will make their own choices, and mistakes. It's Democrats who promoted the free thinking kids to rebel against authority. It's disingenuous for them to now judge Bristol or Sarah's parenting. Are they now advocating that Bristol should have been locked in a room until she was married? I'll bet the people judging them are right now having pre-marital sex, and perhaps unprotected sex.

SDindependent, Lisa 117, and the other cool-aid drinkers need to check out the website of Citizens Against Government Waste, the non-partisan watchdog group."Taxpayer Heroes" rank above 80 per cent. In 2007 John McCain got 100% ranking, and is 88% lifetime. Obama got 10% in 2007 and is 18% lifetime. I won't even both you with "Hair Plug" Biden's record---you can imagine. These are rankings based on waste, pork, earmarks and other corrupt behaviour. MCCAIN HAS NEVER SOUGHT ONE EARMARK. PALIN IS PHASING OUT EARMARKS. OBAMA? BIDEN? THEY WANT MORE EARMARKS AND CORRUPTION. DON'T BE FOOLED! You don't need to know any more than this.Check the rankings for yourself here: http://councilfor.cagw.org/site/DocServer/2007_Senate_Ratings_Final.pdf?docID=3242 And see Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid tied for "Porker of the Month" here: http://www.cagw.org/site/PageServer?pagename=news_porkerofthemonth

I just checked on "Hair Plug Biden" folks, on the Citizens Against Government Waste" website. They track Congress' record on earmarks, pork, wasteful spending, and corruption. McCain qualified under "Taxpayer Heroes" and scored 100% last year. BIDEN SCORED ZERO!! ZERO!! HE COULDN'T HAVE SCORED WORSE! Run from Biden, Run from Obama! RUUUUUNNNNNNN! Check it out here---THE FACTS---SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM: http://councilfor.cagw.org/site/DocServer/2007_Senate_Ratings_Final.pdf?docID=3242

The headline says it all: "Palin, Obama swap salvos". BHO is very, very afraid of this woman ... among other things: afraid to release his school transcripts (what is he hiding?). Afraid to debate Senator McCain one-on-one in a town-hall style debate (can't he speak without a teleprompter doing his thinking?). Summary: he is afraid we'll find out who he really is. Obama-Biden: Smoke and Mirrors.

Pendamon

At least you won't be hearing from Palin that any question is "ABOVE HER PAY GRADE". Or her answers are all "uh-uh-um-uhh, well, let me see, uh-uh" in the Obama style. Obama-Biden ranked in the lowest category in the 2007 rankings by Citizens Against Government Waste (a not-for-profit watchdog group),with Biden rating a ZERO, and B.O. rating 10%. McCain got 100%. That's all you need to know, folks. The rest is B.S. And why is it Obama-Biden? It should be Biden on the top with little junior on the bottom, based on qualifications and experience.
