Dems agree on offshore oil drilling vote

The second stimulus package is an attempt to buy back their incompetence. They left the Congress when the U.S. needed a decision on energy independence. During that time when the Republicans wanted action immediately, the Democrats left the U.S. vulnerable and Russia exploited that vulnerability in Georgia. Russia doesn't care about Georgia but it does care about the BTC pipeline and leveraging energy intimidation. The only part of Putin's plan that didn't work out was provoking Israel to attack Iran and threatening the Straits of Hormuz. The Democrats are still playing "poison pill" politics at the risk of national security.

Pelosi and Reid have caused the greatest transfer of money in worlds history; $850,000,000,000 Billion Dollars to OPEC in oil purchases. Now a "Poison Pill Bill" to fool the People who have to pay $4.50 a gallon for gas. While Pelosi and Reid live in the warm states of California and Nevada, the People on the East Coast and mid-America will freeze to death or have to mortgage their homes for heating fuel this winter because of them. The Japanese didn't do this much financial damage to the United States during the whole of WW2, these two people have become enemies of reason and seem to hate their own countries People.

So if we don't take all their money and they use some of it to drill, we are "subsidizing" an oil company? Oil companies like any other company get to use their expenses to offset their income. That is not "subsidizing". The cost of drilling is an expense of doing business. The government cannot call this a subsidy unless the money was given to the company by the government. Then again, I suppose any money the tax man does not take from me is a "subsidy" for me as far as Democrats like Pelosi are concerned. The government owns everything and any money I get to keep is due to their good will. And fools like me always assumed that I paid my taxes with my money and that by doing so I was subsidizing the government.
