But, of course! Ten thousand Frenchmen could not be wrong, yes?

Very true Wes. But the up-side is that modern Europe has become an effective bell-weather for our Presidential elections. If France in particular is for a presidential candidate, it's very safe say that for America's sake we should be against them. Gore, Kerry, Clinton (both of them), etc., and now Obama. I rest my case. It's also a big clue when every terrorist, dictator, communist, and tin-pot tyrant in the world is for a candidate (like Kerry before him, they're for Obama this time), it's a good idea to vote against them.

obama can KISS OFF & all his friends across the pond can have him. i wonder who they'll call next time they need help. they would all be speaking german if my grandfather decided we should stay out of europe's troubles. at the end of WWII even the iranians would be speaking russian if we didn't push them out of iran. does anyone remember? do they teach history in school today?

Bill Clinton is either telling him I told you so or Fannie Mae, the big three, the airlines and Lehman Bros. are all coming together for nationalized control, I, er We cannot miss the opportunity. The Europeans are saying, yes, yes, come down to socialism, come down to our level of economics and oh by the way we want you to lend us your military to protect us and the world, as usual without compensation. It's called Bill Clinton, dysfunctional multilateralism or how obtain consensus without worrying about compliance.

I don't agree with him, but Joe's not stupid and it's clear he starting to see the handwriting on the wall. We all know this situation could do a 180 overnight. In the meantime, it sure is fun to watch their ticket go from basking in the sunlight to baking in the heat.

Poor Joe... At least he has said one truth - Obama is not ready to lead this nation.

As a French Hugenot expatriate, I find the opinion of Gaulic pride pushing for Obama amusing. The other aspect is islamic influence in France. France is in it's last days as a Western Republic. Within a generation they will be an islamic theocracy. So go Barak Hussein Obama, go East Young Man...preferably to France where you will be more effective.

In spite of the fact that Obama's 3:00am VP announcement was a direct, and not-so-subtle, slap at Hillary and her supporters for her Primary criticism of his notorious and painfully evident inexperience, the Clintons are ecstatic over Obama's pick of "Jawbone" Biden as his VP. A man who can speak eloquently ad-nauseam while saying absolutely nothing of substance. Biden, advertised as the brain-trust for the Obama ticket, is the same foreign policy "expert" who told the Israelis that they would have to passively accept a nuclear armed Iran, which of course would eventually guarantee the destruction of their Nation. The same individual who stated that the "Surge" was doomed to failure; and, who promoted the partitioning of Iraq into three separate nations, which would have precipitated a violent Iraqi civil war; and, assured the eventual incorporation of Shia Iraq into Iran. The same individual who voted to deny our American Forces the bullets and equipments they needed to survive in lethal combat. This from an individual who had earlier voted to commit our troops to the conflict. A despicable breach of trust with our men and women in uniform. Sounds more like a single digit IQ than an expert! The McCain camp will certainly exploit Biden's former prolific praise of McCain; his multiple assertions that Obama was not sufficiently experienced to assume the Presidency; and, who correctly noted that the White House was not the proper venue for Obama's: "On-The-Job-Training". Obviously Obama was smart enough to recognize that he needed a "Handler" close-by 24/7; and, no-doubt has scheduled Biden for remedial training in diaper changing. It's a good time to invest in "Pampers". It's become apparent that Obama has some insidious need to constantly poke the Clintons in the eyes. One has to wonder if an "angry" Michelle Obama is prompting such responses! And, as Bill Clinton so aptly said of Obama: "He's simply a typical Chicago thug." However, the Clinton's, astute in the way of politics, will simply re-enforce their base of supporters in preparation for a now certain 2012 bid. Greg Neubeck

To doctorscott: Let me get this straight. You're telling me that given a major international crisis, with our freedom and the lives of our children on the line, you would rather see Barak "Dat's cool.", "Let's chill." Obama go head to head with Vladamir Putin than see the erstwhile prince of the KGB take on Sarah Palin? Whoa, homme! Let the voting begin.

Hold on here, flip-flops might be acceptable on trivial things but the VP pick is not trivial. Everyone needs to recall that Obama carefully picked Joe Biden. This is supposedly his first BIG decision after clinching the nomination. Now the word is all about a "do over" for VP. It took months of vetting by Obama's people to come up with Joe. Obama blew it when he chose Biden "the insider" and aka as the invisible man. The Obama administration would be a duplicate of this farce. Imagine the handling of a true crisis.

I think 50 million Frenchmen are wrong. They let Chirac of UN Food for Peace infamy run their country. I wouldn't put much faith in a poll of Frenchmen.

Let's put France in perspective. The French economy has slowed this year and in the second quarter contracted 0.3 percent. The French unemployment rate remained steady at 7.2 percent official figures showed Thursday. The unemployment rate has improved from the 8.0 % in the 2nd quarter of 2007. The French sure have a handle on growth and jobs. http://www.france24.com/en/20080904-unemployment-rate-steady-insee-second-quarter-france-jobless-economy&navi=FRANCE

Then again what kind of a "nut-job" is the 'doctorscott'? The eminent Dr. Rossiter was correct in his book's analysis that The Liberal Mind is certifiably crazy, and the doctor(sic)scott clearly qualifies as one of those. Perhaps the sharpest of opinions are those which emanate from the CRT of the Mr. Pruden. I've been reading his comments for many years, and have yet to find any that were off the mark.
