The questions were tough but considering McCain's age and health, the truth is Sarah Palin could very well be our next president. When she's out there talking to Kim Jong Il and other world leaders, she'd better be tougher than this. They will try to test her and bully her. If she appears weak, then we'll all look weak as a result. A mistake from her could lead us to war. I expected more from her and ended up disappointed. I am a woman and a republican and this made me realize one thing: We can try to protect her from the harshness of politics in America but what is she going to do when she has to meet with world-class bullies? Because she is a woman, they will try to push her around. It's unfair but unfortunately, that's just how it is. What is going to happen then? We won't be able to protect her because we'll need HER protection. I know fear is a normal emotion and there's no shame in being afraid. The thing that upset me is that it was obvious that she was scared. It is the one emotion in my opinion that a politician should never show. Whatever happens, people need to know that you can handle it. President Bush was good at that. He never expressed doubt or fear and his confidence is what allowed us to sleep during these last 8 years, is actually the reason why he even got re-elected. Most politicians don't know what they're talking about and that's okay as long as they don't show it. What I found inadmissible is the fact that not only was she clueless but she was shaking like a leaf, all flustered, making her ignorance even more obvious. Unfortunately, she won't always be in a friendly environment. She will have to be strong for us. If Mr. Gibson is all it takes for her to cower in fear, then I do not believe she's ready because God forbid something happens to McCain, she will have tougher adversaries than Obama or Mr. Gibson. Because she's a woman, they are going to try to devour her but by then, I'm afraid there won't be much we'll be able to do for her.

Regarding the first troll commenter below, give me an absolute break and spare me the standard "I'm a woman and a Republican" lines that are intended to give your comment an air of sincerity and legitimacy when you know full well the game you're playing. You don't like Palin, but want to couch your dislike in some neutral and even friendly sounding language. If you don't like Palin, then say so, but don't hide behind this sort of standard tripe that you were rooting for her. How much are you getting paid to spam this site with a comment like this?

Her answers to all questions might as well have been: "No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!" This woman is NOT ready for this position and the sad thing is she knows it...it shows! Let her stay in Alaska when the interviews are over; ask the local Subway manager down the street to take her place

I hope Obama will answer, "No, Russia is too Powerful. If they want europe, let them have it. In fact, if they like to control part of America, we can sit down with them and talk about it."

If The Al Qaida didn’t plan the 9 - 11 attacks, and president Bush felt that it will be safer for America if the Afghanistan's people could be liberated from the Talibans extremists, the left will definitely accuse him. Just because of that they would have allowed Al Qaida to thrive. In fact, Al Qaida thrived during Clinton’s presidency so by the time Bush became president, Al Qaida felt confident enough to Attack America.

nato member countries have the obligation to assist any member that needs help. that is a fact. so, if georgia becomes a member of nato, it is the obligation of nato members to help that country if it needs help. Palin is merely saying a fact...that does not make her a war monger. worry if someone gets elected because he is a glib talker, a product of media hype and image builders, a popular personality but without any experience in executive functions... by the way, don't underestimate women top executives and presidents of their countries....they can be more shrewd than their male counter-parts. check out indira gandhi, margaret thatcher, cory aquino, gloria macapagal-arroyo and others.

i almost forgot.... does anyone who is commenting here know the role of a vice president of the U.S.... if not, am posting the role here: "As designated by the Constitution of the United States, the vice president also serves as the President of the Senate, and may break tie votes in that chamber.[2] He or she may be assigned additional duties by the president but, as the Constitution assigns no executive powers to the vice president, in performing such duties he or she acts only as an agent of the president." pray tell me..where in this role does it say that the VP should have foreign policy experience upon her assumption into office? the spin-masters who are out to put down palin will come out with all sorts of functions that they want the VP to have...but, check the constitution and see if the VP functions call for such roles!

She said she was ready! What exactly is she ready for? Who is she kidding. I'd say she's ready to be the mayor of a Walmart but that would be an insult to those fine people at Walmart. This woman just doesn't get it. Does she read the newspapers? It would be like living with another George Bush, a true envi-ron-mentalist - opposed to the killin' of trees for printing newspapers. She is very confident, very sure of herself. Sarah shoots from the hip and she is one tough bird. Once she's made up her mind, like DubYuh, it's made up for good. Some people would find comfort in that. I hope they're all off on vacation on election day 'cause I am afraid for my kids. Geez, she said she was ready, "without blinking!" Thanks for letting us see the real Sarah P, Mr. Gibson. As for you, Sen. McCaine, what the heck were you thinking about? Do you have a lick of common sense? Take heart fellow Americans but don't count your chickens so fast. Those GOP-ers, they still have a lot going for them. Their campaign is full of cash and run by Rove- disciples who are willing to lie and distort. His campaign is staffed and led by a disciplined crew of big time lobbyists, and there are plenty of anti-lobbyists out there who are willing to take a bet on a pair of fringe candidates. Dr. Strangelove anybody?

She answered the questions honestly. For those who may start hollering warmonger.she stated the NATO agreement and Russia will realize that America will come to the aide of other NATO countries. In the eyes of the world American troops are tough but the civilian population is scared stiff to support a government that will defend our commitments. When are we going to see the same character the greatest generation produced?McCain will have to put Russia on notice . Bush and Clinton will find that the Russians will take advantage of every perceived weakness of character in a President. Reagan dealt with the Russians the way they should be dealt with.Show them where the line is drawn.A little appeasement here and there amounts to a big one and the cold or hot war gets that much closer. Obama will apppease and they will love that

Its called a "backbone". She has it. Obama does not. Now even Biden is full of self-doubt. Two weeks ago he was crowned at the Roman temple. Today he pales before the Palinator! The scuttlebutt is Biden off the ticket, replaced by Hillary, who wants no part of these losers. Already, they are behind in EV's. Didn't take long! This Democrat is voting McCain ! 9-11 ... I have not forgotten.
