Newt's right. Sarah Palin represents all that the old line feminists hate not so much because of what she says but because of the way she lives her life. Sarah's example is a rebuke to all the claims by these old nags that women are the victims of a patriarchal society. Sarah is no victim.

Sarah Palin is a threat to the Constitution of the United States and the personal freedom of all Americans.

With respect due to Gingrich, He misspeaks. "Modern Feminism" is not what Palin threatens. She threatens the old tired feminism of the 60s-70s. I'm a little surprised at his lack of distinction. "Modern Feminists" are taking a close look at Sarah Palin. It's the old-fashioned ones who don't like her, the same ones who rushed to Bill Clinton's defense when his serial abuse of women was front page news.

Hey Mag7 Please explain yourself. How can a vice-president or even a president change the constitution. The Congress and the States have the right to explore any additions to our constitution. If they deem that a change is advisable to improve our way of life than votes must be taken. I believe you have a liberal thinking problem with a fine young lady who is a strong Christian. Please don't knock a person down because they are good people. Speaker Gingrich was perfectly right in his feelings towards Sarah Palin. Mag7 please do some research on this wonderful woman and mother of 5. God Bless America.

We should go easy on poor Mag7 who is just in a state of panic right now and incapable of saying anything intelligent or substantive.

ABC distorted Palin's words beyond recognition. There are complete versions out there where ABC didn't cut off her responses or splice others together. Check it out for yourself. Gibson, during the interview, also misquoted her and implied she was clueless when she asked him to clarify what Bush Doctrine he was refering to. Seeing as the inventer of the term, Charles Krauthammer, says there are four types of Bush Doctrine, her answer was entirely appropriate.

SDindependent and Mag7, you two really need to start looking for the silver linings in life and put this political stuff into perspective. You both sound like Eyore but then I guess he has become the mascot of the liberals. Mag7, your Mom knows about the magazine under your mattress. Life is good, really.

Note that SD"independent" made no comment on the substance of the article. He did say: SD"independent": "Gingrich is the typical republican minon of the Rove-Bush politics." (assuming you meant 'minion') Speaker Gingrich was out of Congress before President Bush was first elected and Karl Rove was his Deputy Chief of Staff. So SD"independent" here adds nothing to any meaningful discussion. It is merely a vacuous statement in the typical ad-hominem spirit.

Sarah Palin: Putting. Me. First. Here's the link to Madame Coward's attempt to ban "Liberal" books from the Wasilla library. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/2008/articles/2008/09/12/gop_campaign_downplays_palin_book_banning_inquiry/ And here's a link to McAngry's inability to even listen to families of still unaccounted soldiers in Vietnam. http://powwarrior.wordpress.com/2008/02/02/the-measure-of-the-man-why-john-mccain-doesnt-measure-up/
