Drill here, drill now!

Its not just drilling. We need to diversify our resource development geographically. We need to develop our oil shale deposits in Colorada and Utah. We need to develop ANWR and do off-shore drilling on both coasts as well as all along the Gulf. And we need to broaden our refinery capacity. Its not like we are surprised that a hurricane causes supply issues. This happens every year and we should be able to ramp up production in July and August so we have reserves to prevent shortages. I saw that probably half the stations here yesterday (Al) were out of gasoline. No wonder the prices spiked. The article could simply note the discrepancy in prices from nearby stations simply reflect the different timing of the delivery of new inventory to those stations. Out of gas and long lines. This is looking more and more like the Jimmy Carter years. Its should come as no surprise since the Democratic Congress is busy enforcing Jimmy Carter style energy policies, or as they call it "common sense energy legislation" to address the high cost of fuel. Now is the time for all good Americans to join Obama in his plan to save us from the engergy shortages we now experience. Everyone inflate your tires. It won't get a single gallon of gasoline delivered to our stations that have no gasoline. But if you run out of gasoline while waiting in line at a station that is lucky enough to have gasoline, fully inflated tires make it easer to push your car the rest of the way to the pump. Hopefully the station won't run out before you get there.

The major idiot in all of this is Nancy Pelosi who is hell bent to "save the world" as she said recently. According to her and the majority of Democrats, gas is not high enough yet, Obama said that it was going up a little faster than he thought it should but the price is to low now. As long as Democrats control congress this is going to continue, they have cost the Nation a reverse cash flow of $850,000,000,000 this year to OPEC, the same bunch that brought us 9/11. How about some tar and feathers for those who have brought us $5 gas and retirement from office; we can't afford to have jerks and idiots in office.

California faced something similar when Gray Davis was governor. They depended on outside sources of cheap energy for years (no energy independence) and then bingo browouts, hello Arnold. Now the nation could be facing a similar crisis. Pelosi is still living in the 1960's. Eventually Israel is going to take action against Iran or suffer a nuclear terrorist attack. When they do the Straits of Hormuz are going be threatened and it will be bigger than Ike because of the GLOBAL impact. Along those lines, go ole Chavez is going to have a broader market and the U.S. is going to be dropped like a hot potato. Putin is banking on it while he is in Georgia and has his forces in Venezuela as a Chavez confidence builder. When that happens we really need to make Pelosi use her wind turbines to fly from Washington to California, explain to the nations workers why their energy payments are more than their house payments and explain to Europe why we won't be able to help them when Putin starts cutting off the oil from the BTC pipeline and the natural gas which he has already done before.
