"He insists now he supports Second Amendment gun rights to keep and bear arms that the U.S. Supreme Court upheld when it struck down the D.C. gun ban in June. But he refused to join 77 of his colleagues who signed a friend of the court brief to end the weapons ban...." Here is what that support looks like. OBAMA: PRESENT. With support like that, ...well, you just better not need support.

Obama is a lawyer. He will interpret the Constitution his way if elected. He supports the Second Amendment and will support all the constraints that the Democrats in Congress will put on it. It's like his energy plan. If you look at it closely, it is an environmental plan. Yeah, he supports the Second Amendment, relatively.

The fear of Obama getting into office as President and being so anti-gun which translates to anti 2nd Amendment, has people I have met scared. They are voting McCain, not because they really think McCain is that wonderful, but they cast a vote 'against' Obama that way. When one right gets trampled it is a matter of time before other rights begin being compromised to one way or another. People that are Pro-Gun are that way from a long time standing, and not because it is politically "good" at the moment. Lying always scares voters, and this one is a lie that we can't live with. Too many people have died or become victimized by criminals in their lack of self defense because of gun control. It is a bad idea that Obama, being Black, of all people, should vehemently oppose, since it was once started to curtail and suppress the newly freed slaves from owning firearms. It was about class and racism to the extreme, and was never about providing a means of lowering crime. Criminals don't pay much attention to laws, or haven't you heard?

He cannot run away from his record??? His whole campaign is an exercise in obfuscation and trickery. Why should his stance on guns be any different? Answer: The NRA. We pay attention, aren't easily fooled, and aren't the brand of namby-pamby that a fraud and Chicago-style political thug like BHO can bully.

Obama's record we know lets remember he is an IL senator and we know they hate firearms of any kind!!! just ask the senior senator Richard Durbin? he can try and say he supports the 2nd amendment but actions are everything. of course if you do some digging you'll find that McCain has a hard sell to pro gunners as well. the only thing that gives him a glimmer of hope is Gov.Palin

Obama will work hard to remove more of our rights under the Second Amendment, remember if they can change the meaning of the Second Amendment by saying it means something other then what the framers said it does they can do the same for our other rights. Consider the hate speech legislation the left is trying to pass.

Barack Obama knows that we must get all weapons out of the hands of Americans. After this current, financial fiasco foretaste of the main course about to be served when Social Security and Medicare are brought to the table; after the largest redistribution of wealth occurs when a Democrat-controlled Congress and Democrat President decide how best to give our hard-earned wages to those that “deserve more”, we will use our guns against our own Government … exactly as our Forefathers intended in the 2nd Amendment. Democrats know that this will one day happen, and they cannot allow it.

Are you kidding? McCain has been anti-gun since he came to DC. He only got C's from the NRA until they got in bed with him after Obama became the nominee. Too bad they know that there is no difference between Obama and McCain. And, don't forget McCain Feingold which the NRA hates...nor the fact that McCain was a leader in the gun show loophole. As someone who's been hunting my whole life, there's no way I can vote for John McCain. I'm sitting this one out.

VAhunter are you serious? McCain is not perfect, we all know that. If nobama gets in there your troubles are just starting and I don't mean penny-ante stuff. Sitting on your duff and not voting is just giving nobama one more vote!! Think about it.

VAhunter, please reconsider. McCain got Cs from the NRA. NObama has gotten nothing but Fs. Please vote McCain if for nothing else but to protect your Second Amendment rights. Life member NRA, korvettekarl, NV.

I am no McCain fan either. I was disgusted when he got the nomination. But I was going to vote against Obama out of necessity. Now I will be voting FOR Palin. With McCains age and health he will serve no more than 4 years at the most. Then we have a solid pro-gun, real hunter set up to move into the White House. The alternative is the most Anti-gun, Anti-American Administration ever. And for all his faults, McCain IS a patriot and is basically pro-gun even if he is weak on some aspects.

Nobama doesn't want to just DISARM Americans, he wants to disarm the entire world and remove all threats to the success of World Socialism. If elected he will rush to join forces with the lefties in the UN and force laws that will result in the confiscation of every privately owned gun in the world, and the closing of all factories that produce guns for individuals rather than government entities. And you can bet that he will follow that up with ARMED FORCE to assure that it happens exactly that way. If you want to hunt, shoot targets, or just plain protect yourself and your family from criminals, you had better be careful NOT to pull the wrong lever on election day.........

"Sitting it out" because you aren't crazy about all things McCain is like giving your vote to Emporer Obama so he can disarm your sorry butt. Pick a side and vote. Cereal with no milk will still keep you alive yo.

MG--my job, gasoline, and retirement are not the concern of Government and I surely am not going to wait for the feds to put out my house fire. Show me where ANY of those things is mentioned in the charter for this government (That’s the Constitution) Social Security is a Ponzi scheme to buy votes for socialists by stealing from your grandchildren. I will cling to my 2nd Amendment Rights, as IS in the Constitution, to protect me from nuts like you. And killing a baby is murder no matter what name you call it.

Obama is the last thing we need in the presidency or anywhere in government for that matter. He's a proven lying sleezebag and his wife is a flake. Don't 20 years of afiliation with a hate mongering preacher and long term friendship with a domestic terrorist couple say enough about his philosophical orientation and his character? Would he even be in public life were it not for the disfunctional urban Negro culture that is his primary power base? I see in his past affiliations, statements and voting record (what there is of it) much reason to fear that an Obama adminstration's agenda for America would entail a shift of governing philosophy toward the radical left, enabled by the agenda driven judiciary that he will most certainly push through a Democrat congress. Accepting comprimise of our constitutional rights, beginning but not ending with 1st and 2nd ammendments,(fairness doctrine and "gun safety" legislation, respectively) will become the new patriotism. His brand of "HOPE" when subjected to scrutiny is a socialistic formula for a malignant intrusion of government into the way most white middle class Americans are accustomed to negociating their lives. Dr. King's dream could well morph into a bloody nightmare as his duped supporters, particularly working whites, currently intoxicated by his flamboyant immatation of substance awaken to real life in Obamaworld. McCain is no prize, but Obamamamma will take us where we don't want to go.
