Anyone that thinks this type of power is going to be granted to the executive branch is dreaming. The democrat party will never allow this no oversight buying authority to happen. Although a new federal entity along the lines of the RTC would simply create another bloated bureaucratic organization, that is probably the best solution. It could be disolved once the alligators are removed from the swamp. Giving Treasury this much power is indeed scary. Think years down the road how this vehicle could be used for corrupt purposes.
