I really want McCain to win. But as of today the poll analysis website, www.fivethirtyeight.com has him losing the election substantially.
Even though the person running this site is an Obama supporter, he has an earned reputation for doing extremely accurate analysis.
It worries me to see various analysts, such as yourself, writing as if Obama is still behind when it appears that in fact he is not behind. We can't afford self-delusion or complacency at this point.
I hope you and your colleagues will address the conflicting polling results soon, taking fivethirtyeight into account when you do.
Months ago I said that if people actually listened to WHAT 0bama said, rather than HOW he said it, he would start losing support, and that is what is happening now.
He has also shown (with the invasion of Georgia and this latest banking crisis) that his initial instincts are not good. That is scary in a person who is supposed to be a leader, and hopefully enough of the American public has figured this out so that he can attend the Presidential Inauguration next January as a guest of President McCain.
