No second act? Then Dodd needs to tell the Democrats to walk away from their judges changing the mortgage payments, quit adding a $100 billion reelection package and give up the control of the oil industry through environmental roadblocks and give us energy independence through producing more energy NOW. These are all election year, get us reelected poison pills and part of the second act. I think they are stalling until November 4th to see if they are going to be in control of the whole mess.

Excuse me! Why isn't the Associated Press asking Senator Dodd (chairman of the banking committee)where in the hell he has been the last two years or about his sweetheart mortgage deal that has never been satisfactorily explained or investigated. Also ask him about his role in blocking Senator McCain's 2005 Senate Bill #190 (look up the facts on it)and the rewards he got for it. The MSM should be all over this but don't hold your breath.

Great News! WOOHOO!!!! The biggest financial bailout in US if not world history is slowing down big-time today as members of the Senate began to balk at any quick action to pass the measure, saying the massive bailout required more careful discussion and consideration. This isn't "let's invade Iraq quick they have WMD's" Lalaland. There's absolutely no rush here folks. Take your ever luv'n time Congress and let McCain-Palin08 squirm and pull out their hair : ) - Let this mess sink into the US Electorate as many states begin early voting. - Let it fester and grow as derivative trader cash in their bonuses and buy-outs - Let the nation and the world take in and feel the catastrophic mess of these Republicans - Let the markets lose another 25-30 percent. Congress needs to carefully review, assess, discuss, debate, do committees and talk some more After President-Elect Obama wins by a landslide...and a Dem Senate gains another 10 seats to put us over 60....then let's have an up & down vote and passage right before the Christmas recess would be most appropriate. Don't forget to watch and enjoy President Obama's amazing inaugural speech to the nation on January 20th 2009 at exact 12:01

psygone-you should change your commentary name to psychotic. If you think the Democrats are not pushing for this add on welfare", I've got some waterfront swampland I want to sell you. They are asking for it much more strongly than many Republicans. I'm not sure what you have been watching. Maybe it's the moveon.org playbook. President Bush has not even seen or reviewed the final version of this plan. If all these add ons are included, I'm willing to bet he will veto it and hold Congress in session until the Democrats come to their senses. This is so typical of the type of income redistribution the Democrats will promote. You may also want to ask Senator Dodd (chairman of the banking commitee) what the hell he has been doing the past two years. I suggest you also research Senator McCains 2005 Senate Bill #190 calling for immediate action on the pending Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac crisis. Three Democrats, Dodd, Clinton and Obama himself led the charge to kill it. They subsequently became the three largest recipients of political cotributions from Fannie and Freddie. You really need to get your facts straight before you shoot your mouth off.

It's funny how liberal revel in disasters, chaos, and destruction. They only love peace and prosperity when a liberal or Democrat is in office. Psygone do everyone a favor and kill yourself.
