Okay lets be real...how many reps in washington DON'T take pork? Then who's McCain got to work with then? I say, give him a chance to make good on his promises...he'll get closer than Obama.

I'm all for McCain and Palin now. I think Palin should show up and debate Obama substituting McCain; I bet she knows more about the economy and foreign policy than Obamallywood.

This article assumes two things: (1) McCain already has the veto capability and (2) he should completely separate himself from his party because of his belief's in cutting spending. It's just one more case of a liberal media and an army of internet bloggers trying to normalize Obama's record, in this case pork barrel spending. The real issue is Obama's platform does not include a reduction in spending and McCain's does.

If we are going down the "Guilt by Association" route, then please let's focus on all those assocations, or should I say PARTNERSHIPS, Obama has had with convicted felons, terrorists, Communists, and fanatics. This article pales in comparison to the Rogues Gallery of Obama pals and gang members. McCain is Teddy Roosevelt. Obama is Number Eight on Judicial Watch's 10 Most Corrupt Figures in Politics last year.

Palin and McCain ought to switch positions on the GOP ticket. Since she's only been governor of a state with fewer people in it than Obama's old Illinois district, and she's only done that for 1.5 years, she knows fewer lobbyists (although she did hire one to bring the pork into Alaska) and she has raked in fewer earmarks than McCain or any of his senate buddies. Besides, people are only now excited to vote for McLame because Palin is on the ticket, so let's be honest and reverse their roles: Palin/McCain '08

McCain has never done pork raising schemes in congress, Obama has been lead around by people who want to manipulate the decent attributes and sincerity he has. I don't want President Palosi speaking for him, he should have acknowledged it was important for him to participate in this bailout. Its just not good enough to stand with the gang anymore. He's done too much of that to lead our country. Its not McCain who has spent 3 full days in preparation for the debate. This can be twisted to suit whoever. But look at his record. He's absent!

I am Republican but in this election I will support - Obama. It is seems to me that our new guy is not capable of making any normal decision and he is more delusional than Bush. As a Republicans we need to be smart not ‘mentally- blind “and stupid.

McCain is a "new guy"? Hmm. Seems to me that Obama is the new guy on the scene, but he is bought by everything that is old. Corrupt, old Chicago-style, insider Washington, everything he says he is not. Who is he kidding? Balarat, don't waste your vote on a Loser--vote McCain and Country First.

Let me get this straight - because members of Congress do feed at the public barrel they lose their ability to fund raise for the Presidential candidate of their Party? Are you implying that if McCain is elected he won't follow through on his position because these other Congress members did fund raising for him? I guess you're pulling that position out of some dark part of your anatomy. Sheesh - if that were the case no Democrats would be able to do any fundraising for Obama - especially not Mr.Pork Schummer of NY

John McCain truly things we're all idiots, at least those of us in the poor sector, under 5mil in holdings.

Balarat, you are not a Republican. You are transparent by just what you say and how you say it. You think it gives the impression of "gravitas" to your diatribe to say you are other than what you are. If you were a Republican, you were in the wrong party for what your political principles are. I think you should join the Democrats, we won't miss you.

Promised to kick-ass on earmarks. Voted FOR bailout (with earmarks). Quoted after saying "Bush should veto because of the earmarks" Mr McCain has now taken, at a single time, at least 2 stances on earmarks.
