The cerebral dexterity comes from the subtle suggestion from liberal sources that all the caucasion race are closet racists. McCain wouldn't bring it up so the media had to perform a one sided poll and write a couple of articles with regard to the social conscience. Shame on people for being closet racists and bringing about the Bradley effect. The bottom line is that Obama's economic plan is a tax welfare spending plan, his energy plan is an environmental plan (it might produce energy to meet the current demands but 10 years from now) and his national security plan involves Joe Biden, principled diplomacy and distributing the blame internationally (the same consensus without compliance model of the U.N.). It will be about as effect as the U.S. Congress over the past four years.

MG, I wanted to comment on your posting but having read it twice, your lunatic left moveon.org rant is not worthy of it. That said, Obama was the one, who through his surrogates like Gov. Sebelious started this race card crap. That is most certainly bad enough but now, the Associated Press in order to help him, is keeping it going. I predict this will backfire on them and become a self fulfilling prophecy. The Associated Press is once again stretching for any little negative nuance they can find no matter how inconsequential. They often omit pertinent details, and rely on excerpts just to amplify their negative slant. The MSM media is bad enough but it is now obvious that the Associated Press is also in the tank for Obama. I urge all readers to check the source of every story and if it is from the Associated Press, just realize it is most likely an “Unpaid Political Advertisement”. If the AP keeps this up, they will have to register as a "527".

“If race should never motivate your opposition, then it’s equally wrong to motivate your support.” This is exactly correct. Now, if we could only get the bigoted wing of the Obama camp to acknowledge this kind of self-evident clarity, we could start having a more honest debate about race in this country!

Great work! For decades now, liberals have constantly called the greatest country on Earth as either racist or xenophobic. If Obama loses this election, liberals will go bananas because America will still be seen as racist for not electing Obama.

To: MG The writer uses quotations from Obama's media supporters to back-up his assertion that they're committing racism in the name of fighting it. How do you qualify your disagreement?

Honestly if Alan Nathan were the least bit interested in dropping race as an issue he'd stop bringing it up in nearly all of his columns pertaining to Obama. Give it a rest. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much when it comes to his supposed dislike of using race as a motivator in politics. Besides which, wake up!!! It is huge that a black man is looking like a likely new president in the USA. This is a birth for God's sakes. The birth of the changes we've been working toward and dealing with for the last 50 plus years. Acknowledge that fact for a refreshing change of pace. There is going to be pain and screaming involved. Nathan is hiding behind a show of concern about reverse racism because he can't drum up the courage to admit that Obama is an excellent contender for the presidency. I personally am stoked that if and when he does win it will be against McCain-also a fine and excellent contender. This will be a real win, if it in fact happens. You want to talk about obtuse? Waving this limp rag of a race flag is what I call obtuse to the max. Get some substance going in talking about the election. It's almost over.
