Palin's steps within this campaign are better choreographed than the Thriller video. And it seems that America is just as taken with her as they were with Jacko. I don't expect to hear anything about Palin's views. McCain can't risk it. He can hardly afford to talk about his own views.

Since she has not been affected by it in her state, she just might be listening to the people. The Congress and the President didn't. That is lesson's learned. McCain lives on a border state, so she might want his side too before making a statement. There are a lot of assumptions in this article and they will be validated on November 4th and after.

Governor Palin has already demonstrated a willingness to stick by her beliefs even if they do not match Senator McCain's: she's said she will continue to try to convince him to advocate drilling in ANWAR. So we'll see. I hope she does move him in the direction of better border security and no amnesty for illegals. That she has a firm set of core values, beliefs, and principles and is not afraid to stand by them is what is refreshing about her. As opposed to, say, Barack Obama who firmly stands on the nebulous ideas of "hope" and "change".

On immigration as on so many other issues, Sarah Palin is a blank slate. She has no record and no experience. This is very convenient, she can just be programmed to put out the current party position. The Palin candidacy is a fluke and a stain on the Republican party. Do we really want Sarah Palin to be "a (72 year old) heartbeat away from the Presidency?".

MikeC...she has a 5% chance of being the President under your scenerio. Currently BO has a 50% of being the President and his experience is just as thin if not thinner...please let us know your issues w/ BO lack of experience...then maybe your argument would have some credibility!

I wonder how many mortgages were bought by illegal aliens or anyone using falsified SS#'s and other personal ID? Sadly, I doubt there will be any investigations into this, because from extreme fear of additional back lass from the public. On the other hand, if it could be shown that millions of the illegals added to this national disaster, political heads would role and we would finally get all of the criminals out of this country.

Lets keep the pressure on the Government to do the right thing for our Nation. The House passed a Continuing Resolution (CR; H.R. 2638) yesterday that, among other things, would extend the E-Verify program through March 6, 2009. The Senate has yet to act on the measure so there is still a chance for Senators to approve H.R. 6633 - the House-passed, five-year E-Verify reauthorization bill. If you want to avoid another debate in a different Congress with a potentially more challenging political climate, please call your Senator today 202-224-3121) and ask him/her to pressure Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to allow a vote on H.R. 6633 this week. Lets end the debate and save our economy and keep American Citizens of all RACEs working and keep illegal aliens out of our job market.

It's kind of sad, really. None of the candidates the restrictionists liked were chosen by the American people. The public showed they're more interested in real solutions then hyped-up fear and deportation-only tactics. Now they're searching for something -- maybe in a VP candidate -- that shows that someone cares about their side. Nice try Krikorian.

The author is bang on. Palin could turn this issue into a win for law-and-order folks like most of us IF she comes out stringly against Federal lawbreaking, which the Invasion of 35 to 50 million illegal aliens is--LAWBREAKING!! If, however, she toes the McAmnesty line, her future as a conservative political leader is over before it has begun. One thing about law-and-order types--we're like elephants. We don't forget being stabbed in the back as McCain has done. Gov. Palin would be wise to remember this. All the "Hispanic Republican votes" are meaningless if she loses the base backing.

Is Sarah Palin an open-border, free market globalist? If it wasn't for Independent Journalists like Lou Dobbs of CNN or O'Reilly from FOX, Glenn Beck, as the population of activists Americans would forever remain in the dark. Pro-immigrant zealots don't like it, because the average citizen or legal resident has a say in this explosive issue. Regular citizens have become the first line of defense of corrupt politicians and the special interest lobby, that remain in collusion with far-left (9th district court) judges and extremist groups which border on tyranny. NEWS FLASH Rep. Tancredo Demands Safeguards in any Economic Bailout http://www.numbersusa.com/content/ Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) has demanded that any bailout of the finance industry should include safeguards that prevent the bank or lender from recouping funds spawning from their own fraudulent or dishonest activities. Tancredo also wants to ensure that taxpayers do not provide assistance to illegal aliens who have lost their homes and do not absorb any bad debts owed to financial institutions. He maintains that these protections are a "must" for any bailout package. Rep. Tancredo also wants legislation passed that would require banks to verify the legality of potential home buyers to ensure that illegal aliens do not benefit from federally backed home loans. Where does she stand on immigration. Where does she stand on anything. Even after she "trys" to explain herself, we are still in the dark. And,Palin running for President possible in 1012. You have got to be kidding. She can't handle running for VP. Check with Alaska, she could not run Wasila without hiring an administrator to help her in a town of 7000 or so. And, Gov. of Alaska, ask those people how she is doing with that, not so good from what I have read. Check out her interviews again, do we really need to review. It is a joke to even think this woman would humiliate the United States with another SNL side show. I hope I never see or hear of her again after this election is over. For shame. And, shame on McCain for picking this empty headed person. Country first, I don't think so. Of all the millions of people in the United States, this is the best he could come up with and this article could even suggest a possible 1012 Palin run. Do I need to even mention the ethics of this, self proclaimed Christan woman here. God help us all. Wake up America, this is not fun and games, we need to get serious and get this country back on it's feet. Palin is as out of touch and out of her league as it gets. The education is not there, never was, never will be. Just remember the Bush IQ and where it has gotten us. Palin format is truly, a bridge to nowhere.
