Metric 'oops' costs House $25,000

Well aint this just friggin' marvelous. Congress pretends to pay for pretend B.S. 'Carbon Offsets' (And gets it wrong) while our economy burns to the ground. Anybody else notice this 'Pretend' B.S. always comes from Democrats? Hey Democrats, Food is REAL, Oil is REAL! Stop pretending with pretend MONEY! OR IS GOVERNING OUR COUNTRY just make believe and wishing for Democrats?

The $25,000 paid for an extra 3069 tons. That means Nancy Pelosi spent $270,000 of taxpayers' money on carbon offsets. That means she threw away over a quarter of a million taxpayer dollars and got NOTHING for it. But she feels good a about it. How does she think taxpayers feel about it? I know that amount is just like a rounding error on her expense account, but to me it's an immense sum, and it was entrusted to her by people like me. Congress complains about not having enough money and they spend it on CARBON CREDITS that do what for the taxpayers?! Note the story says the overpayment will go toward the next payment. They are already planning to squander more of our money on this outrage.

Is this a joke? For a minute I thought I was reading the Onion.
