Where was McCain looking during the debate, at the American people? Obama is still pushing class warfare as economic strategy to increase taxes and turn control of those tax increases over to a socialist leaning Democrat government. It was noted that McCain didn't mention "middle class" once. That is because he does not believe in class warfare when it comes to the taxes and the economy. "A crucial problem of practical policy occurs when self-organizing economic systems are allowed to be influenced by political interventions." - Klaus Mainzer, Thinking in Complexity. With regard to foreign policy Obama has not changed from his initial statement with regard to "principled diplomacy" i.e. the consensus without any compliance dysfunctional multilateralism of the Clinton Administration. IT BUILDS A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY. McCains strength's are his ability to understand reality and take the right actions for our security as proven by the effectiveness of the surge.

If Lanny Davis puts aside his partisnship enough to say it was a draw McCain must have scored a real big win.

Something that strikes me as strange about Obama's claims that he is only going to raise taxes on the 5% richest Americans. How is that going to even put a dent in the trillions of dollars of debt this country is in? And why is that fair? That is nothing more than income redistribution. It may sound great to the lower income and middle class taxpayers, but if any one of those lower income or middle class taxpayers managed to make it into the upper income brackets, they would be screaming bloody murder at their taxes being raised. The tax system is a dinosaur. We need a 10% tax based on consumerism, and the governments (state and federal) need to live within that gift to them. Obama really makes no sense about anything really. He makes proclamations, supposedly about his beliefs, and then claims they were taken out of context, or that it was not meant to be taken literally, or he pouts and sics his "truth squad" on whoever is calling him on his statements. He is an effete, elitist and I really do not know what he stands for except more entitlement programs funded by "the wealthy," and abortion on demand. Our country was created by patriots - people who believed in freedom. Obama and Biden believe in more and bigger government and freedoms only as they see fit to bestow. Despite our current problems,we are the best nation on the planet, why are a segment of the population insisting on making us third rate by backing Obama? MCCAIN/PALIN 2008

Obama is not worth looking at and i can't blame McCain for it. It is hard to look at someone that is so fraudulent. Obama was very disrespectful to McCain by calling him by his first name where McCain referred to Obama as senator Obama. Obama also agreed with McCain at least 8 times which tells me that Obama is another Goerge Bush. I say this because Obama is trying to link McCain to bush, so if Obama agreed with McCain that many times, then Obama is another Bush.

Well, just maybe we need a leader who DOES get angry at America's enemies for a change, instead of kissing them on both cheeks Euro-style and patting them on the back...whatever happened to the Democrats who would "support any friend, oppose any foe"? They have been marginalized and pushed out by the left-wing fringe of their once centrist party...sad.

MG gets confused between Iraq and Detroit. MG also thinks we need to use approaches from the 1900's ("twentieth century approaches") but this isn't trench warfare we are engaged in and we are not fighting nation states embarked on world conquest. The surge was not just in Bhagdad. Some of you really need to get out and make a few more friends. Try to meet and befriend someone that is in the military and you will find that Anbar and other areas of Iraq benefited mightily with the surge. Even people who opposed the surge have finally admitted that it has succeeded beyond thier wildest imagination (what little they have).

MG: Have you ever lived in an Arab country? They don't all hate each other. As a matter of fact they work together pretty well. Their model is not like the U.S. or our cities, there is no comparison. Don't make them.
