Due to the dire consequences of modern capitalism that we are witnessing presently, new economic systems have to be created based upon sustainability. Indeed, for this the whole perspective of western economics has to change from basing them on pushing paper from one side of the desk to the other (imaginary goods classified as 'service' industries) to those where tangible goods are produced to sustain the human experience itself. For all-in-all, the sheer folly of the present system is now open for all to see and where it cannot work in the long term. In this respect making money out of nothing should have been seen years ago as the easy option, an illusion and where one has no end product in physical terms. Therefore the new economics have to address world needs and not imaginary created wealth for the very few that leaves the rest of us relying on the crumbs that drop from the rich man's table.
If we do not bring into being such economics, we shall not be able to continue as a species further than the present century. The reason, there will under the present capitalist and super-capitalist system (globalization) simply not be enough natural resources to sustain life on this planet by the end of this century. We are running half empty now, in another 60 years we shall be running at over 75% empty. With the world having to live on less that the 25% left, we will certainly not be able to sustain a peaceful world and where therefore anarchy will eventually rein supreme. Time to change now therefore before that becomes a reality I would say, for only now have we the ability to steer away from this future nightmare. For in this respect global change takes at least six decades to achieve and come about. Time is therefore running out on all of us to do something about sustaining human life.

Well Hill, I suggest you get out from under the "rich man's table" and do something for yourself.
After all, few "rich men" are born at that table. At least here in the U.S.
Capitalism and free markets are the best resource allocators ever invented. Don't fret though. When you come up with a better system it will naturally over take capitalism.
