"The party is over," Mrs. Pelosi said. Carter, Clinton, Raines, Johnson, Gorelick, Obama, etc. The party will be over once the US public is able to connect the dots. That is why the Democrats are NOT screaming for an investigation.

If it was such a great deal, why did 95 DEMOCRATS reject it? What kind of leadership was shown by Pelosi and Frank? Or god forbid, the great one himself. Maybe someone can call him and let him know what's going on.

I listened to Pelosi's speech. If she had a record of fiscal responsibility she might be able to rebuke Bush, but all she's doing it passing the buck and some in the house we're fed-up with her duplicity. It's true Bush spent too much, but I'm certain he did it rather than sit on his hands with the Dems in control. Pelosi brags about Clinton's surpluses. What most people don't realize is it take time for economic miss-management to come to fruition. The Dems actually take credit for the fruit of Reagan's policies. We are now reaping the fruit of Clinton's legacy.

Thank you ALL House members that voted no. There is a glimmer of hope in America.

This all started when that numbskull Jimah Cahta pushed the CRE Act through the Congress. It was further worsened when the Clinonistas began to pressure banks and other lending institutions to 'overlook' financial rules, even common sense, and lend money to minorities and other so-called disenfranchised citizens. Although warned by experts that this was tantamount to unlocking the barn doors and throwing the keys away, the nutty Democrooks went on, and eagerly at that, with their stupid social engineering project. NOW, we have a disaster on our hands and there is a need for a Special Counsel to investigate just who it was amongst the Democrats that violated the rules that led to the massive meltdown in the mortgage and banking industries. It appears to me that some very high ranking members of the Democrat Party should be IN JAIL for this mess, and the sooner we get somebody accumulating evidence to do just that, the better. This is one citizen who is getting angrier by the minute at the professional CROOKS who have taken over the Congress of the United States and are now attempting to make the taxpayers pay for their CRIMES. Let's FIRST put these guilty scum in jail, and when we can be sure we've got them all where they belong, we can start writing much tighter rules that will prevent new CROOKS from getting elected to public office.

This entire failure boils down to leadership. For the past eight years Nancy Pelosi has pursued and agenda of blame. If something goes wrong it is Bush and Republicans fault. Her speech before the vote was 100% blame. Barney Frank blamed the Republicans for 12 votes when 95 of his fellow Democrats voted against it. Obama blamed McCain for injecting partisan politics into the vote. This is not leadership, it is an embedded policy of irresponsibility. You don't build coalitions by partisan lecturing the opposition on their blame when 40% of your people don't support the bill. Barney Franks remarks are no better. This is not leadership, it is elitist, arrogant and adolescent politics. When 40% of your people aren't sure, it's not a matter of hurt feelings, it a matter of the uncertainty of someone trying to strong arm a lousy bill though the House. It's time in November to vote in new leadership.

Thank God there are adults in the Congress. The bill stinks. Is the 20% for ACORN, La Raza and The Urban League still in the bill? Pelosi was such a weasel that she didn't even bother to get all the Democrats on board who are on Barney Franks House Committee on Financial Services.

Democrats on Barney Franks House Committee on Financial Services who did not vote for the bailout bill. These are people who did not want to face their districts if they voted for the bail out. Rep. Brad Sherman Rep. William Lacy Clay Rep. Joe Baca Rep. Stephen F. Lynch Rep. David Scott Rep. Al Green Rep. Emanuel Cleaver Rep. Lincoln Davis Rep. Paul W. Hodes Rep. Andre Carson Rep. Don Cazayoux Rep. Travis Childers These are supposed to be people who KNOW the bill's content and importance. Where is the Democrat support for the bill?

But it IS Bush and the republicans (lol). Some repubs feelings were obviously hurt today by Nancy. If that was rationale for them to switch their vote, then they never should be in such a position of power in the first place as they are taking out their tantrum on the American public and making them suffer. With the rocks thrown by Mccain, Palin and friends at every stage..even when they are complemented by Obama and Biden....well..they should be a little tougher skinned. Get a grip. Stop whinning about Nancy or risk volumes on the nastiness and stupid comments by the other side. Bush and McCain could not even get the support of their own party..that itself speaks volumes...so who does he blame..Obama.

TyinPS has a goofy idea of what happened in the House today. Pelosi didn't want to pass the bill with Democrats. She wanted to be able to dump the "blame" on Bush and the GOP. The lies of Maxine Waters, Meeks, Pelosi and Franks about the solvency of Fannie and Freddie is on record. They fought to get oversight that made lenders give out subprime loans. The nastiness of Obama and Biden are on video. Obama ads call McCain dishonest, dishonorable, and worse. The Democrats couldn't get the support of other Democrats because the bill was a loser. The country faces a crisis and Barney Franks, Pelosi and Chris Dodd are trying to use taxpayer money to set up a 20% ( Maybe as much as $20 billion ) slush fund for ACORN, La Raza etc. Is that really looking out for the taxpayers? Oh yes, the oversight was supposed to be done by political appointees with monthly meetings.

Barney Franks had 12 Democrats on the House Committee on Financial Services who did not vote for the bailout bill. These are the 12 people who could have voted with Barney and passed the bailout bill. Rep. Brad Sherman Rep. William Lacy Clay Rep. Joe Baca Rep. Stephen F. Lynch Rep. David Scott Rep. Al Green Rep.
