RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Radford University officials have put the campus on lockdown and asked students to seek shelter as police search for a man suspected of shooting someone near the campus.
Radford Police Chief Don Goodman says the shooting happened around 9 p.m. Thursday. The victim hasn’t been identified.
The university said in an e-mail that the suspect was seen near the school’s Bonnie Hurlbert Student Center.
A news release from the city of Radford says the man, who was wearing no shirt, a camouflaged jacket, and do-rag, is considered armed and dangerous.
