THE BEST OF THE WEEKEND IN SPORTS

Chargers at Titans

Gather around the television Friday night and watch San Diego, the popular pick to upset Indianapolis in the playoffs.

Cavaliers at Lakers

It’s LeBron vs. Kobe, Shaq vs. Kobe, Leon Powe vs…. never mind. Still the best on the Christmas NBA schedule.

Emerald Bowl

Emerald Bowl, you say? Who cares, you say? Well, it’s Boston College against USC. Interested yet? Good.

Ravens at Steelers

This is the Steelers’ last chance at remaining in the AFC wild-card race. The Ravens control their playoff fate.

TWT FIVE PREDICTIONS FOR 2010

1. Tiger Woods saga continues - The problems are out there, and they won’t go away anytime soon. Here’s a guess: He won’t play the Masters.

2. Eagles win Super Bowl - This team is similar to the Giants of two seasons ago, and the undefeated Colts aren’t as good as those Patriots.

3. Strasburg starts season in minors - Nationals fans won’t be happy, but the No. 1 pick will start in Syracuse or Harrisburg.

4. Leonsis renames Wizards - When he gets ownership, he goes back to the red, white and blue - and Bullets.

5. Caps win Stanley Cup - Save the best for last perhaps. Plan the parade route down Constitution Avenue.
