




WARRENTON, Va. — Two deputies were injured Wednesday in a shooting at the Fauquier County, Va., courthouse, authorities said.
Deputy County Administrator Catherine Heritage said the deputies were transporting an inmate to a hearing Wednesday and that the shooting occurred at the courthouse. She said the deputies were transported to the hospital and were in stable condition. The inmate was apprehended. Ms. Heritage did not have further details.
A message left at the sheriff’s department was not returned immediately.
