AREA MEN

NAVY 66, ELON 62: Adam Teague scored four of his 11 points during an 8-0 run in the final 1:33 to help the visiting Midshipmen to a comeback victory against the Phoenix on Monday night.

After Devan Carter's layup put Elon ahead 62-58 with a little less than two minutes to play, Teague nailed a 3-pointer to start Navy's run, hit a free throw with 14 seconds left to cap it and grabbed a rebound off Carter's 3-point miss to seal the win.

Chris Harris led the Midshipmen (11-4) with 14 points, while Clif Colbert and Kaleo Kina scored 13 apiece.

Ola Atoyebi and Chris Long scored 14 points each to lead the Phoenix (4-6), and Brett James added 11.

Navy hit 13 of 18 free throws in the game, while Elon was 13-for-22 from the line.

AMERICAN 62, COLUMBIA 50: Garrison Carr hit seven 3-pointers on his way to scoring 23 points as the Eagles won their third consecutive game with a victory against the Lions at Bender Arena.

Carr was 7-for-9 from the 3-point line for the Eagles (8-6).

Up by six with 15 minutes left, the Eagles went on a 14-2 run, marked by Derrick Mercer's pair of putbacks and a dish to Carr for the first of consecutive 3-pointers.
