Great article, it's rare to see much if any positivity in the news these days, so it seems.
I wonder how many readers realize that the United States Constitution does not authorize going to war to enforce UN Resolutions. It does require that Congress make a declaration of war before going to war. This hasn't been done since Korea up to the present date. Article 1 Section 8 of the United States Constitution. The UN Charter violates the U.S. Constitution by delegating to the UN the power to declare war, a power specifically delegated to the U.S. Congress. However, the Constitution delegates the power to "conduct" war to the U.S. president. Under the War Powers Act of 1973 Congress Unconstitutionally gave the President the authority to commit our troops thus eliminating the seperation of the Legislative and the Executive Branchs of Government .
For Congress to sit back and Constitutionally allow any president to send our troops into any war or conflict would require a Constitutional amendment to allow this, which has not been done.
