This article gives quite a misleading picture of the issue. My wife, her parents, and our son were in Dyke Marsh preserve in October for what they expected to be a tranquil walk looking at birds - only to be greeted by a shotgun blast close at hand. There are no signs, no warnings, nothing to indicate there is hunting going on. We've nothing against hunting, and my wife's family hunted for many years in the midwest, but right in the middle of an urban nature preserve is the wrong place to be shooting at anything.
