1. Bruce Smith - The former Bills, Redskins and Hokies defensive end is the biggest lock on the list of finalists.

2. Rod Woodson - The speedy defensive back played both corner and safety and returned 12 interceptions for touchdowns, an NFL record.

3. Cris Carter - Not only did he catch touchdowns (130 to be exact) but he also was durable, lasting 16 seasons.

4. Shannon Sharpe - Eight-time Pro Bowl selection would be the eighth tight end to get elected.

5. Paul Tagliabue - The former commish has to get in at some point.
