Yes folks, its no longer The People's House. It's now Pelosi's Politburo. Opposing views? Bah, we don't need those. They're counterproductive to what we're tryn to do. The American people are sooo stupid & don't know what's best for them. WE, the enlightened liberal elite, know all, & will save you all from yourselves & the evils of capitalism! Welcome to the nanny state, whether you wanted it or not. On bureacrats: "A bureacrat is the most despicable of men, though he is needed as vultures are needed, but one hardly admires vultures whom bureacrats so strangely resemble. I have yet to meet a bureacrat who was not petty, dull, almost witless, crafty or stupid, an oppressor or a thief, a holder of little power in which he delights, as a boy delights in possessing a vicious dog. Who can trust such creatures?"...Cicero On welfare: "The budget must be balanced, the treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered & controlled, & the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."...Cicero

Well, no surprise. Pelosi can't let the fact that she has a democratic majority be enough - she has to try to shut down any of the few means Republicans have to be heard. Also, Pelosi doesn't get it. I think many Americans would like to see term limits for CONGRESS - it shouldn't be a lifer job. She wants to repeal the rule limiting chairmen to three terms??? We should limit HER, AND ALL OF CONGRESS TO THREE TERMS - PERIOD.

Speaking of new rules, it seems the GOP now wants to restore the very rules they wiped their feet on for years. In a cowardly and disgusting Op-ed http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/05/opinion/05bolton.html?_r=3 none other than John Woo and John Bolton now think the Democrats should heed the constitution, obviously since it is now the democrats and no longer the republicans in power. In a related story, the GOP has no idea how they lost the house, senate and presidential elections.

This news go to show that Nancy Pelosi is the perfect example of total corruption within the Democratic party.

If this is Pelosi's attempt at bipartisanship, it would be interesting to see her partisan efforts. There is only one thing that the Democrats are after, and that is power. Why else would they go against the go against the Constitution with Burris? The next four years will be used to squash dissent in any form. They have the media, they have the Fairness Doctrine and they are changing the rules. The legislation they pass in the next four years will indenture the American citizen to a point where electing anyone but an approved Democrat will cost you your job. Absolute Power.

Term limits is the only way to get these kooks out of here. The voters are so uninformed these days and the media so biased there is no other way to get the bums out of office. Reid is the next one that needs to go after Pelosi.

well it didn't take long did it. this is the beginning of one party rule in the U.S.A.. the republicans might as well go home. they are now irrelevant. it took 100 years to destroy Rome. the marxists are going to do it in 4 years...or less. i wonder how long it will take them to get rid of the fillabuster in the senate? then we will see what has been held at bay for 75 years. a communist america...
