Daschle should face the hardest of times. He lost his own re-election bid then became a blood sucking lobbyist. Those two facts alone should remove him from an 'easy' confirmation and he needs to sign his oath of office in his own blood that he will not allow any lobbyist contact or preferential treatmen.
Soes anyone know, is his wife still highly paid lobbyist? While I usually vote D, (not thrilled with that but alt is worse) it seems a better choice should have been made.. but that is the way of DC, R or D, reward the Royal Courts for thei loyalty to the Kings and their party. Amusing that we now have "Oldest" Congress ever and it show, look at mess both side created. so much for public demands for real "Change"m better to love the devil you know?
