Poor baby!

He seems to think his personal lifestyle choices outweigh the safety of the nation.

You mean the neophyte did not know this when he applied for the job? If some wack-job does him harm because he won't abide by normal security protocals...the blame will be his. I fear for his wife and children if he restricts security.

To Shore10, websurfer, and mesquito: Look at you. You're so threatened. Al

How come Mr Obama didn't ask George H.W Bush about raising kids ?

Al??? can you elaborate. I guess BO is going to make sure he has the same safety as he is giving the rest of us by pushing Leon into the CIA.

"It was silly, but silliness goes with this job," That is for sure. Look at the first real problem he's created by shutting down dc for 3 regular civilian work days. Not to mention, the excessive violation of person imposed upon anyone in the city by requiring 13 "security" check points to even move about. Silliness... i suppose he got that right

Obama can keep all the private lines he wishes through encryption, although he will need a unique encryption key for each aide and contact and they will each need a unique encryption key to communicate with him; he can also set up among them one on one unique communication encryption keys, with absolutely no one knowing any one else's keys and each set of two individuals those having unique keys for each other. (Example: Three aides would need a total of six keys to communicate with each other directly and privately.) I realize that this means that these are definitely not public keys.. they are extremely private; and the public can be warned to not try to meddle. Please, President-Elect Obama, please keep your capacity for truly independent leadership style, which includes good intercommunication with those you are familiar with. I'm sure the many international workers in The Carter Center network can give very good advice on all privacy issues. And God Speed, President-Elect Barack Obama. Al elaborates. The thing is Shore10, it seems quite obvious that attacks on Obama, based on his desire to keep his Blackberry, seem like grasping at straws. It seems to me like many are so taken aback that he is going to become President that they are far too quick to jump on him for subordinate reasons. Thus those attacks come across as coming from folks who seem decidedly "threatened" and scared.

i was going to comment on this nonsense but the new aircraft carrier the H.W. BUSH is going to be called to life and that is much more important than anything that empty suit taking over the white house is doing. the only 2 downsides are...1. this is the last warship that the U.S. will build. and...2.our gutless president to be... will never use it to defend the nation.
