truthwilltell: Tell me why you think that any group should be able to apply for a government contract to provide services EXCEPT religious ones? Isn't that called discrimination? If you said that any group is able to apply for a government contract except black groups it sure would be. Note: In study after study religious groups have a better record of success than secular ones, mainly because they CARE about the people...it is just not another bureaucratic job. Note: during the big tsunami it was Catholic World Services and Lutheran disaster relief that provided the infrastructure for the distribution of AID..because the governments could not do it. Katrina; it was the churches again that were first in to help. In Darfur, it again is the catholics and the Lutherans in the camps with the people...not the United Nations...

I say, too, get rid of it. Another select group of religious people who push their relgion on those in tough situations, but with federal help. Bush is one of those "born again" idiots with an agenda that focuses on his personal religious beliefs and integrating it with state. If, for some reason, it does continue, then they should be forced to included in their jobs those outside their specific religious beliefs. No mix of church and state..please
