Is it that the U.S. manufacturers are on par with foreign manufacturers or is it the foreign manufacturers on par with U.S.? The difference is protectionism and again, the transition to a regulated market economy. The Congress is very good at twisting the words around.
Barney Frank, in the accompanying photo, sends shivers down my spine. His culpability in the mortgage mess makes his participation in this process very scary.
The first step would be to free ourselves from mandatory government taxation on wealth. We must free ourselves to consume any portion, even all of our income freely (the poor especially).
If we are frugal, we will save. Savings cannot be touched. The interest cannot be touched. That is freedom. Only when I withdraw and purchase, am I taxed. I am taxed on all New Goods and all Services at retail but never on Used Goods, because I frugally implement a recycle oriented tax code.
Freedom means that on every receipt of New Retail, we see the amount we actually pay for the ‘services’ of our government.
Someone tell Obama that if he wants to have “transparency” give us no hidden taxes on what we purchase. Give us no taxes on wealth earned. Give us “the Fair Tax act” for public debate.
I am not in service to those in government and by proxy in service to “the greater good”. That idea of greater good should stem from my offered productivity and my willingness to share through purchases from the wealth my work created.
No one “deserves” our help through mandatory taxation on our personal wealth.
As my ten year old daughter said, "That's stealing Daddy"..

With Pelosi and Frank driving the program, it get a vision of the government control taking the closing scene from Thelma and Louise.
