The difference is politics and reality. On 20 January, the Bush blaming is over. Lets not forget he also skipped out on getting the troops out of Iraq. Hillary must be having fits. How many many more 'that's what I said but not what I meant' seizures are we going to have to face in the first 100 days. Again, this only offers vulnerabilities to the likes of Putin, Chavez and Adhmenijad. Stand by for heavy rolls!!!!!!!

Soxconn, I usually find your comments insightful, if not inspired. But this one misses the target when you say the Bush blaming is over. EVERYTHING that goes wrong in Obama's administration, for as long as it lasts, will be blamed on Bush. The rest of your post is right on, as usual.

soxconn

Cornelius: You are correct. Based on the mainstream media response during the campaign, there is noone left to frame political issues and therefore no accountability. That only leaves blame and it is a well worn path that the Democrats have taken to Bush's front door.

If you haven't noticed, BHO has only been holding press conferences to announce middle-of-the-road policy. Anything concerning items, which may cause a stir, have been done in closed meetings. From these, we only hear the faintest of whispers about the outcome. Fasten your seatbelts my friends, it's going to get ugly.

Soxconn&Cornelius. How long do you think the media will extend Obama the "Blame Bush" line of credit? I beleive it'll last quite a while, but I just don't know. WHEN he screws the pooch, & he will, will it be SOOOO bad that even the folks watching & reading news from his media guard dogs will say: "God this guy & his crew REALLY f-ed up!" I can't answer this for myself. I'd like to think that if the economy continues to worsen, or G*d forbid, some terror attack were to occur, the people of this country would see how badly his admin will have screwed up. Although given the the now totally biased media & general ignorance of the American public, I'm not so sure people WILL realize the folly that will have taken place. Can anyone render an opinion as to what they think about this?

The marxist media will try to continue to blame Bush for everything. But there are several news sources, like this one, that will offer a different view. The economy is sinking in anticipation of Barry's fiscal policies. We are headed for $8.00 gas, double digit inflation, double digit unemployment, and dire misery!

Excellent op-ed piece, Mr. Pruden. It's difficult to imagine how naive these politicians are, when vast numbers of ordinary citizens understand the danger these people pose to our survival. It is like Obama looked into a whole new world during his first secret security briefing after the election and couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ignorance is not bliss; it is dangerous. www.timetorevoltamerica.com

That this glib off the cuff sarcastic tripe passes for suppossedly well thought out conservative editorial comment is evidence of the abyss conservative thinking has fallen into. Thinking has been reduced to what passes for witty entertainment in talk radio circles. No wonder we elected a moralistic imbecile for a President twice in Bush. This is more evidence so called conservatives hate liberals more then they love the country. They distort reality to vent their spite at liberals, without regard to the consequences to the country. How many posters here have been complicit in sacrificing the true values of our great country to purchase some temporary safety or to show how much tougher they are then liberals? What pratteling nonsense. I have no patience for this anymore. The far right has been deservedly consigned to the sidelines for the next 4 years. If this article and posts are indicative of the right then it will sidelined for many more years to come.

While the majority of individuals commenting on this article by the venerated Mr. Pruden has relegated opinions to political and media issues, one has chosen to use her post to attach the others personally. It’s quite telling, eh?

Yes, kc. We know the sorry, tired, liberal MO by now. Anyone who voices OPINION that is anti-Obama, anti-groupthink, or anti-liberal, is writing "tripe". If I only had a nickle for every time I heard WAY worse about Bush coming from the mouths of elightened folks like yourself & various Hollywood Illuminati, this recession wouldn't be a problem for me right now. Comparisons of him to Hitler (which as a Jew, I resent), the lunatic insinuation, in some moronic circles, that 9-11 was an "inside job" (not saying YOU beleive that. At least I hope not), to wanting to try him for war crimes like some banana republic dictator. Spare us your sorry, sniveling indignation at our satire of Obama. Turnabout is fair play. Too bad you people can't stand it when the shoe's on the other foot. Get ready though. His honeymoon won't last forever. Despite the best efforts of the media to hide his eventual failures, the people WILL FIND OUT & will then VOTE HIM OUT. As is typical of people of your ilk, you choose to spew vitriol at those who feel differently than you. What is it with people like you? Did you learn your debate tactics from the radical's handbook? "Shout down any & all opposing views & opinions" seems to be the order of the day for people like you. How about a coherent argument, instead of cheering on the demise of the opposite political party? It just goes to show: "When you have no basis for argument, abuse the plantiff."...Cicero

You can always tell when you have a Liberal on the run in a debate, that's when he/she turns to the Personal Attack mode.KC set a record for how fast he/she ran to that mode.Nice response NavyBrat.

I am sure that KC will be the first line for the free money has Obama is handing out at the expense of the rest of us! It was reported in a local paper that a woman was jumping up and down, excited that Obama won because HE was going to pay her house payments, send her kids to college - money coming from the rest of us. And we don't make near the $250,000 that "the one" was going to increase taxes on. However, having been a government worker(federal), I know how the system works. There are 3 ways of doing business - the right way, the wrong way AND the government's way. EVERYONE PAYS! And Congress is and has always been the puller of the purse strings. They continue to save ourselves FROM ourselves while lining their pockets with our money. Obama is nothing more than a puppet with a mouth who will bowdown and kiss the feet of Pelosi and Reid who will tell him what's what. Afterall - who would have thought that you had to get your CIA pick approved ahead of time by Feinstein?

Let's see what nonsense has been written about me. Ahh..I'm a liberal (what a surprise but wrong. First and best vote I ever cast was for Ronald Reagan) but anytime a so called conservative is a disagreed with you become a stereotypical liberal and hate beyond belief is hurled at you. I see I have my hand out to the gov't. Nope. No use for the gov'ts handouts. I've been a Buckley/Will conservative since I was 18. Mr. Pruden and his ilk wouldn't know anything about conservatism. If he wasn't heavily subsidized he'd be out of a job.
