Obama breaks bread with conservatives

Big freakn deal. The only guys who were there that are still TRUE conservatives are Brooks, Krauthammer, & to some extent, Kristol. The rest of them are the same tools who tell us the era of Regan is long gone & who told us that McCain was the answer to those who wanted a "kinder, more gentle & inclusive" Republican party. We can all see where THAT got us. Too bad some of these guys who profess to be conservative have succumbed to Beltway Enoxia Syndrome. Everything outside the rarified air of the Beltway must take place in a vaccum, & those who want to remain TRULY conservatives are throwbacks or rubes. Gimme a break! I still remain enamoured of Krauthammer &, to a slightly lesser degree, Will. They both are superior writers with the superior intellect to back up their points. The rest of those clowns surely have William F. Buckley doing sommersaults in his grave.

Get over it, this nation is just not conservatives. You will have to learn to live with it.

joe y. Thanks for the tip. We'll see how many non-conservatives there are after Obama, his Clinton puppet masters, & his lackeys in Congress screw the pooch royaly over the next few years. That's ok. Gee, Joe. Last I checked it was Bubba who let the 1st Trade Center bombing, the embassy bombings & the Cole bombings go unanswered. Actionable intel was either ignored or the acton that WAS taken was "politically acceptable". This includes an instance of the CIA having Bin Laden's EXACT location & not being allowed to call in the smart bombs to take him out, due to the fact that members of the Emirates Royal family were there as well. Maybe this has something to do with all of the money that Bubba's foundation got from them. And of course, let's not forget the blowing up of the asprin factories in Sudan in response to the embassy bombings. Set aside the fact that the CIA also knew the exact location of Bin Laden's residence in Khartoum & lobbied hard for a direct action mission. It was more politically correct option, to Bubba, to use cruise missiles. No big deal. We missed, & they only blew a hole in the USS Cole, causing the deaths of numerous US sailors. I find it amazing the selective memory problems that liberal revisionist folks like yourself exhibit all the time when confronted with the history of all of your glorious f-ups. Typical. Oh, BTW, let's not forget that there hasn't been another attack on this country SINCE 9-11. I guess that's just a coincedence. Yeah, must be.

lloydfl2. Do you think that Krauthammer would be leaning center right? I tend to disagree. I think that he's almost always spot on in his various anaysies. He's one of the few guys on our side that is both smart enough & eloquent enough to make his points understood by all who listen to or read him. I beleive that, out of most of the guests there last night, he's one of the only ones who hasn't sold out his ideals & hasn't sold out conservatism in favor of being more "centerist". Do you disagree?
