They got the emergency part right for sure .The disaster will come starting just after next Tuesday ,over four years .

Why cant they use some of the 700 million that Obama allegedly received during the primaries ?? Let his middle East and GAZA brother friends pay for all this. Let the DNC pay. They and the radical MSM inflicted Obama on us ..now let them pay for this whole thing. Disaster? Now ?? Too funny. Yeah his administration will surely be called a disaster within the next 4 years.

After 12 years of diseption and fraud, it goes to say some folks are still living in DENIAL. When those whom are still living that genectically flawed existence, like jungleboy and seawaste, then change is needed. They probably R republicans. Palin should work the streets with those two.

AuShuaValley69 - there is spell check in these little comment boxes. In regards to the expense for security - has anyone ever heard of a budget? This is what we can AFFORD, etc. So if they need more money for security, then it needs to come from someplace else - buy cheaper booze, fewer decorations. Bush needs to stop being so accommodating to the whims of the incoming administration.

* My,how Bush has become generous lately with our money. Can't wait to see how much more generous O-man and his dums are in the next four years.

How many tax dollars will end up in Clinton pockets?

Are you guys kidding? Did you really want another "Bush" in the office that bad? Did you really want to continue to pay for high gas prices and to deal with the failing economy & housing market? I for one don't and am PROUD that I voted for OBAMA. Emergency funding is for a good reason...so the city has more firepower against all you idiots out there that might want to "try" something on a very special day in history. OR are you all hating on the fact that Obama will make history when he becomes the 1st African American President. What happened to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream that ALL MEN WILL BE CREATED EQUAL?????? *SIGH* that's right...I live in America the place were no one wants to see his dream.

12 years of deception and fraud? So you admit Clinton was culpable. This is what makes me wonder; DC has a sales tax, the revenues gained this week should more than offset the expense. Anyone that has ever had a kegger knows this little bit of business math. I don't see where the FED needs to pony up the cash. As far as Maryland goes, just shut down the wistlestop tour. We are in a Recession afterall. This is typical Dem modus operandi, a grandiose entrance to massage their self-inflated egos. As far as they are concerned there are still enough taxpayers in this Country to shoulder the burden.

DC's broke, it's schools and crime an embarrassment and the country is in a recession. How about we drop the overpriced over-hyped coronation in favor of Emedia coverage and save millions of taxpayer(ouch by back) national emergency dollars?

So the Feds are using the word "emergency" much the same way a college fraternity would, eh? "Oh, crap! Dude, we're almost out of beer! It's an emergency!!!!" It's not a good sign when your Federal gov't is declaring an emergency just to make sure they can stay liquored up. C'mon people, it's the White House, not Animal House!

The designated monies are indeed symbolic of a national disaster, here's why: 1. Obama's lack of integrity by refusing to produce a SIMPLE BIRTH CERTIFICATE, naturalization papers, medical documents, court records for name changes, college records, passport information, etc, are indicative of a man who feels he is "entitled" to secrecy. No transparency breeds no trust. He is not serving the American people by creating such legal confusion. The media hasn't been reporting all the lawsuits against this man. Obama is costing America a lot of money and he doesn't seem to care. One simple act of releasing a common document, like a birth certificate, would quell the confusion. What's his problem? 2.Obama's disregard for our Constitution's requirement to be a natural born citizen is being ignored. The Law IGNORED BY THE PRESIDENT ELECT! Until he is endorsed by our Law he is fraudulent and all that he does. He is setting us up for a Constitutional crisis by REFUSING to prove WHERE HE WAS BORN. Either the Constitution rules or a man's whimsy. Obama needs held accountable by the Supreme Court. Lawlessness should not be tolerated. 3. His extravagant spending is evidence of things to come. Obama has employed "lawfirms" to protect his right to secrecy, spares no expense for his vacation house rental (millions)and his "coming-out party" in Washington. He's full of himself and his actions make no bones about it. 4. His political picks for close cronies represent true Chicago-style leadership! Do these people even know the definition for integrity? Do they even care? Power driven greed defines them. WHAT A NATIONAL DISASTER!

There is definitely an emergency in Washington, DC--the Constitution is under assault by Obama.

President Bush should pay for it out of his retirement benefit. The swearing in only takes minutes in actual time. Remember the LBJ plane ride. These monies should not go to DC but to help the poor, the homeless and the sick. Let the BHO team raise the monies for the parties or use some of his money left over from his election purchase. This is not a rightful use of taxpayor monies. Although I remain NOBAMA, it has no bearing. This is just not right when there is so much greater need.

I wonder if the liberals see the irony in this. Here they are actually defending FEMA in spending federal funds, after they spend the last 3 years ripping it apart because of Katrina. Hurricane Obama?
