Saddam also denied the 2,200 missiles with empty payloads waiting to filled with WMD and over 550 tonnes of enriched uranium that folks on Downing Street call Yellow Cake.

To the end the Moony Times is flogging the idea of a Iraq/Al Queda commection.

No s**t Sherlock. In 1990 bin Laden made an offer to Prince Turk bin Faisal to raise an army of “mujahddin” fighters to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi occupation. In 2003 bin Ladin in a recorded message called on Arabs to fight the U.S. in Iraq, but also not to support the secular “socialist infidel” Hussein. Saddam backed Abu Nidal, a former secular opponent to Arafat’s PLO. In fact, the Baathists secularism was noted by Rumsfeld in the 80’s right after Iraq was removed from the terrorist watch list as a major factor for why the U.S. was supporting him against Iran. 3/13.03: bin Ladin calls Hussein an “infidel” “socialist” and labels the Baathists an “apostate regime” The difference between Iran and Ba’athists, the difference between the Taliban and Baathists, Baathism was an intellectual theory that was started by Aflaq in the 1940’s. It aligned its self with the Soviet Union, the same people bin Ladin fought against in Afghanistan! If you do not comprehend the different forms of government or world views then you should really stay silent on such issues.

This is common knowledge I hope, just like how none of the hijackers on 9/11 were Iraqi. I have a bit of apprehension to visit this page later in the day in fear I may see some disturbingly misinformed comments that chip at my faith in enlightenment ideas such as knowledge, curiosity, and critical analysis.

This puts him right in there with cheney who maintains that Iraq had WMD until the end. Two brother nut cases.

Communications between Saddam and Al Qaeda or Osama bin Laden are as credible as those between George W. Bush and his "other father."

"Saddam, who was executed for crimes against humanity.." Rubbish, he was murdered by a bunch of thugs who put together an amateurish gallows and hanged him with the full backing of our government. Stop trying to rewrite history with this sort of dribble.

Yellow cake is NOT enriched uranium. It is raw uranium oxide which has been extracted from the ore. I have seen it made. I could do it in my bathtub. It is a very very long way from a bomb. Saddam long ago had declared that ore and the UN and the US knew all about it.

What would he be expected to say? He gassed his own people, paid families of terrorists, told the world that he had and would use the bomb on us, had training camps and met with terrorists! Interesting that we have terrorist training camp right here in the USA. Mussolini, Stalin, Castro and Hitler were all very popular until they weren't and by then it was too late. We are seeing the very same thing with this Obama dictatorship. Bill Ayer's once said that killing 20,000,000 Americans would be necessary in the coming revolution...you know Bill, the terrorist that helped launch Obama's into Chicago politics!

As I recall, Hussein was given a legal trial by the duly constituted government of Iraq and given the just sentence he denied thousands of his own people. He received the justice he deserved.

Maybe an apology from the RIGHT WING MEDIA is in order, starting with the Wash. Times. How many articles did you print that tried desperately to link Sadamn with the 9/11 attacks? Lying only hurt America and made Conservative Republicans appear simplistic at best.

seriously_tho, you are absolutely right. We put him in change & got p1ssed when he no longer towed the line & turned over Iraq oil to Cheney cronies. How disgusting & gross that any would cheer killing anyone, even an a$$ like him. What did the bushies turn this country into - ugh.

Seymour - Did you want to wait to be hit before responding to the threat? That's a GREAT defense plan...sort or like ignoring Bin Landen's threat and warning that they were at war with us! How stupid are you? If somebody tells you that they want you dead, they have already killed tens of thousands, say they have the means and will use it... Would you like to invite them to sit around the camp fire or would you think it might be a good idea to remove the bastards from the face of the earth? Kumbaya!

To: seriously_tho Never let the facts interfere with your insane anti American views. Saddam, his sons and generals KILLED over 10,000 of his own citizens, RAPED and FINANCED TERRORISTS. I think you might want to learn a little history and not rely on the ACORN/DNC troll talking points.

Ya, I refer everyone to my first two comments, if you cannot disqualify them then it stands that bin Ladin saw Saddam and the Baathists as equal an enemy for his theocratic goals as the U.S. have fun.
