GUATEMALA CITY (AP) - Guatemalan police say two teenagers suspected of killing one of their gang leaders used a cell phone to record the victim being dismembered.

Police spokesman Marco Trejo says the teenagers were arrested on their way to an Internet cafe where they planned to upload the video. Police received a tip about the teenagers’ plans.

Trejo says the victim, a 35-year-old woman, was killed Monday with a machete. Police found parts of her body in several places north of the city’s capital.

Trejo said Friday the woman was killed as part of an internal power struggle in the violent Central American MS-13 gang. Six people were allegedly involved in the killing.

The gangs are known for their brutality and often behead or dismember their victims.
