VIRGINIA

BearingPoint chosen to support PD ALTESS

The Army has contracted BearingPoint Inc. to supply logistics, management and maintenance-support services.

BearingPoint was awarded the contract from the Army’s Product Director, Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PD ALTESS) organization.

Under the contract, worth $21.5 million over two years if all options are exercised, BearingPoint will support PD ALTESS with acquisitions, program management, strategic business planning and other services. PD ALTESS supports the Army with information management and information-technology services.

“BearingPoint has been providing services to PD ALTESS for nearly four years,” said Mary Cassidy, BearingPoint Army and Air Force sectors vice president.

“We are happy to continue this support and appreciate the confidence PD ALTESS has placed with BearingPoint via this award,” she said.

MINNESOTA

Navy contracts LM for Q-70 support

EAGAN | The Navy has contracted Lockheed Martin Corp. to provide advanced-display-system logistics-support services.

Lockheed Martin was awarded the contract - a follow-on deal to a recent Naval Sea Systems Command Advanced Display Systems production-contract modification - to support the Navy with logistics services for the open architecture Q-70 computer system.

Under the $72 million deal, Lockheed will support the Navy’s AN/UYQ-70 display systems.

“We’re honored that the U.S. Navy selected Lockheed Martin to provide Q-70 supply support services,” said John Nikolai, director of Lockheed Martin’s electronic products and logistics market segment.

“This award supports assets currently in the fleet and sets a foundation for future infrastructure programs,” he said.
