ST. LOUIS (AP) - Ohio State earned semifinal berths in four of 10 weight classes, vaulting past the two Iowa powers to take the lead at the NCAA wrestling championships.

Ohio State had 61.5 points for a four-point lead over Iowa State on Friday. Nebraska also advanced four wrestlers to the semifinals and was 7.5 points back in third. Iowa was fourth, eight points behind.

Iowa State and Iowa were tied for first, three points ahead of the Buckeyes, after the first two rounds.

Rounding out the team leaders were Edinboro (49.5), Cornell (41.5), Missouri (40), Boise State (32.5), Illinois (32) and Michigan (27). Nebraska also had four qualifiers.

Iowa’s chances of defending were hurt by a pair of losses by high seeds, No. 2 Philip Keddy at 184 pounds and No. 4 Jay Borschel at 174.
