Easter Egg Roll tickets to go online

WASHINGTON (AP) - For the first time, the White House will distribute tickets online for the Easter Egg Roll.

The White House said Monday that tickets for the April 13 event will be available online so that more children and families have a chance to participate in the annual tradition on the South Lawn.

That means no more standing in line for tickets the weekend before the event.

Starting Thursday, additional information about the process will be available at http://www.whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll.

This year’s theme, “Let’s go play,” is meant to encourage young people to lead healthy, active lives.

The South Lawn will be opened to children 10 and under, and their families, to enjoy sports, storytelling and live musical performances as well as the egg roll.
