SEEN AND HEARD AT NATIONALS PARK

Umpire Jim Reynolds, who was struck in the head with a high fastball on one of Cardinals pitcher Blaine Boyer’s warmup tosses Thursday night, had to skip Friday’s game because of a concussion. Kevin Causey, a Class AAA umpire who lives in Virginia, replaced Reynolds.
