ANALYSIS/OPINION:

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

As an Iranian, I commend Robin Corbett, Lord Corbett of Castle Vale, for urging the United States to take action before a humanitarian catastrophe afflicts the members of the Iranian opposition at Camp Ashraf (“Group besieged in Iraq,” Opinion, Friday). The members of the People’s Mujahideen of Iran at Ashraf are brave patriots who have dedicated their lives to bringing freedom and democracy to Iran.

I only wish other media outlets would follow The Washington Times’ example and give the crisis at Ashraf the coverage it deserves. At the mullahs’ request, the Iraqi government is trying to drive the residents out by force.
