CITIZEN JOURNALISM:

Journalist and author Gwen Ifill appears to be the most sought-after 2009 commencement speaker in the Washington metropolitan area. Ms. Ifill will deliver the keynote addresses at Howard, Georgetown and Marymount universities. Ms. Ifill is the moderator of “Washington Week,” the longest-running prime-time news and public affairs program on television. She also is the author of the best-seller, “The Breakthrough: Politic and Race in the Age of Obama,” and moderated the vice-presidential debates during the presidential elections of in 2002 and 2008.
