How did you get started in real estate? Real estate has always been something I was interested in, even on the investor side of things. I knew my contract-writing and client-service skills would come in handy when I began my career in real estate sales for both residential and commercial properties.

How long with the current company? 3 years

Licenses and designations: Licensed in Maryland, Virginia and the District

Associations: Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors

Awards: Weichert’s 2008 Million Dollar Club

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: My greatest accomplishment has been persevering through challenging situations to get the right homes for my clients, including working with a young couple who previously had trouble finding the right house. After taking them to several homes and walking them through the process, they finally found their dream home!

Area of specialty: My partner, Abby Ansari, and I work with buyers and sellers on all types of homes, even commercial properties and businesses.

Highest-priced home sold: $1,200,000

Most memorable house: I once had a listing where the buyer didn’t want any open houses or lock boxes at the home. No one believed that I would be able to sell it. After working through my extensive network, I found the right buyer to purchase it.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: My most challenging experiences have been listing businesses. Not only is your buyer pool a bit smaller than on the residential side, but you also have the management companies to work with, too.

Family: Two sons

Pets: A red dacshund, Willy

Education: Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Montana School of Mines (now Montana Tech of the University of Montana)

Community affiliations/outside interests: Engineering affiliations

Last movie seen: “Taken”

What kind of car do you drive? 2007 Toyota Camry

Describe your personal dream house: A three-level Colonial-style home set on two acres with an open floor plan and hardwood floors throughout the house, except for marble floors in the basement
