As if the sand, surf and shops in the beach towns of Delaware were not enticing enough, the planned community of Millville by the Sea offers even more. Recreational amenities can be found in this community year-round, but when the weather is nice, residents can be found strolling along walking trails; canoeing, fishing or windsurfing on the lake; playing tennis; swimming in the outdoor swimming pool; playing shuffleboard or bocce ball. Walkers can admire the ponds and lake from the trails or from a boardwalk next to the lake.

On cool or rainy days, or to take a break from the sun, residents can visit the cultural center, which has basketball and racquetball courts, a bowling alley, a game room, an indoor track, a fitness center, an art studio, an indoor swimming pool with a water slide and a food court.

This planned community of 3,000 homes is just four miles from the beaches of Delaware, where residents and their guests can enjoy the ocean, the beach, shops and restaurants.

In addition to the amenities of the community, residents will find a variety of home styles from Gulfstream Homes to suit every family’s needs. Town homes with three or four bedrooms are priced from $199,900 to $249,400. Single-family homes are available with two to four bedrooms and from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths for $224,400 to $321,400. The newest model to be offered, the Spinnaker, is a larger single-family home priced at $357,900.

The Spinnaker model includes a color-coordinated, cottage-style exterior with beaded siding, shake-siding accents and stone veneer on the front porch and in the front of the two-car garage, which has carriage-style doors. Each home comes with a sodded front yard and seeded side yard and backyard, with professionally designed landscaping.

This home has 9-foot ceilings on the first floor, upgraded flooring in the foyer, hall, kitchen and dining area and an upgraded trim package. Each kitchen includes granite counters, your choice of wall cabinets and adjacent laundry room. The baths have tile floors, and the master suite includes a corner soaking tub with columns, an oversized shower and two separate vanities. Each home has been designed with energy-efficient features including double-hung thermal windows and a thermal sliding glass door.

Buyers can customize their homes with nearly any feature they desire, include multiple flooring choices, sunrooms, entertainment built-ins and more.

Guests to this home may be tempted to linger on the front porch, which has multiple columns. Inside, a generously sized guest bedroom or den is just off the foyer. If the den option is selected, the entrance to the room can be left open and flanked by columns. A full bath and a closet are nearby.

The foyer opens into the living room, which has two windows and an optional fireplace. The open floor plan flows easily for entertaining, with a center-island kitchen and breakfast bar open to the dining area. Just off the dining area is a sunroom with windows on three sides and an optional fireplace.

The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, a triple window and two additional windows, a walk-in closet and a luxury bath. The main level also has a laundry room and a second bedroom with a private full bath. Near the entrance to the two-car garage is another closet.

Buyers can add an upper level to this home with a bonus room, a storage room, a full bath and a walk-in closet.
